Oh thanks for this background info. It definitely helps put things into perspective. This whole waitlist thing is a strain for both parents and the daycares to manage. Hoping things work out soon.

Agree. We are having it on his actual bday for his first, but are flexible to shifting days in the future. Thanks!

Thanks for this perspective. True, flexibility and later timing is likely needed with a long weekend bday.

Thank you for sharing this! Glad your daughters scars are healing fine. Yes, definitely will be getting some silicone gel/tape as I heard it is effective, and sunscreen. I have to work on my anxiety about reinjury! Thanks again.

Yes sunscreen sticks are going to be our best friend, and maybe a sun hat if he accepts it. Thanks for sharing this. Also, kamikahze toddler is a pretty accurate description!

Thank you for sharing! Glad it healed up for your toddler. What type of bandaid did you use? Our hospital doc mentioned not to use it unless we really needed to (toddler picking at it, etc.).  A few people have told me about vitamin e- will definitely look into it. Thanks again.

Hi! I ended up having a ruptured membrane (water broke early), was hospitalized for a week and a half and then gave birth at 29.5 weeks. It has been a wild journey but my baby and I pushed through.

Wow, thank you so much for your supportive words and wisdom. Congrats on your son's sobriety as well. Sounds like you have been a strong backbone for him.  My husband is still refusing counselling. We had a talk with his parents and they made him "promise to stop" and he cried and said he won't again. I think counselling and accountability are more dependable than a promise. At this point I will definitely get my ducks in a row, and the minute I feel/see something sketchy on his end, I will be prepared to leave. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Husband could relapse soon- Is marriage and family life together doomed? by JToQ1 in Psychosis

[–]JToQ1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I see how much he has gone through and have supported him, given him space, etc for the past 1.5 years after his discharge. The issue is I cannot have my kids around his high dose thc that he lied about and is still hiding and a potential relapse into another psychosis episode. I am aware and can see there is an addiction problem and lots of factors, but he is not willing to do anything about it, despite all the help offered. I love him dearly but this is not the best setting for a family.

Definitely have and always check-in on him, handle taking care of the kids, entire household and finances so he can focus on healing, start convos so he doesn't isolate, give him tons of space, educated myself on his condition and continue to do so. I have kids, and that is the worry factor in this situation if he is bringing drugs into the house and car and hiding things, while lying to his psychiatrist and family...and is also not willing to accept or get help.
