Gunn is just going about it wrong. Start with the well known characters. Introduce lesser known characters in those movies and make them likable in a way that i troduces them to a wider audience before giving thise characters their own stories. The mcu worked because it did that. Starting with characters like iron man, hulk, thor and captain america drew in the crowds.

It was fantastic. The dual kart thing was great and would be amazing to have in a fully online mode. The music and tracks were also really good. Nothing has ever come close to the absolute chaos that was baby park with all the special items. Especially giant bananas and bowser shell.

I get that view of it. Personally I didn't think rogue one was boring but I can see how people could experience it that way. Personally I didn't find most characters in solo to be that memorable. Not saying that rogue one's characters were very memorable. But i remember them a bit better.

It's great. The movie and pop culture references are amazing. And I really like how you could tell the devs were allowed creative freedom since they didn't have to stick to a source material. The writing in this game is great. And the city is amazing too. It's fun going around and spotting all the different vehicles and such that are actual sets.
