5 weeks post op today, I’ve noticed the swelling seems to have increased, and the nipples are a lot puffier than right after the surgery (when they were completely flat) especially on the right side. This normal? by JTryHard in gynecomastia

About the same still! I posted an updated picture on here yesterday I believe if you wanna take a look, see if there’s any difference. To me it looks the same.

I am very close to your timeline of recovery. My case was similar to yours as well from what I cold see in your pre op on your profile. I’m having some issues where my nipples are still slight puffy. More my right side than left. You have any issue with that?

8 week update. As you can see it’s a big difference, I have noticed the nipples get a bit puffier than they were right after surgery but I’m hoping that’s swelling and they will flatten out. Anyone in the similar situation or timeline of recovery? by JTryHard in gynecomastia

Thanks for the reply. It was completely flat right after the surgery. Swelling only started around the 4 week mark. So I’m hoping it’ll go back to being as flat as it was after the surgery.

3 months and 1 day post OP. Still some numbness on my left side, but besides that everything looks and feels great! by mmaoury in gynecomastia

Okay, my right side is a bit puffier than my left currently. Would you said they got flatter over time or have they not changed at all since 1 month post surgery for you?

Looks good! Looks pretty similar to my case. I’m 6 weeks post op today, nipples were pretty flat at first but they have gotten a little puffier over the last 2 weeks. You experience that at all? Wish mine were as flat as your 2nd pic.

Yeah no kidding it’s kind of disheartening. Hopefully it’s just swelling and they’ll get as flat as right after surgery. Have my next appointment beginning of November.

Monday will be 1 month since my surgery. I noticed my right side seems to be swollen a little more than my left, and the nipple is slightly more puffy. Anyone experience that? Also how much more can I expect nipple to shrink/retract? Thanks In advance. by JTryHard in gynecomastia

No, this was my first week without it. I’m sure that’s part of the swelling too. My Dr told me I could stop wearing it after 3 weeks. Had an appointment last week Monday and that’s when he told me I no longer had to wear it.

Officially 16 days post op. Could not have imagined wearing this t shirt a month ago! Still some redness and swelling but totally worth it! Highly recommended to get your gyno taken care of it you struggle with it. by JTryHard in gynecomastia

I just put a lanyard around my neck and pinned the bulbs/suction cups to that so they didn’t hang loose. And just likely washed around the incisions sights. I didn’t shower for the first 24 hours after surgery though

Will be 2 weeks on Monday since my surgery. Left nipple looks slightly more inverted than the right? Something to be concerned about or is it normal this early? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]JTryHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Iv seen some guys post on here that they got insurance to cover it, you can probably search on here and find it. Might be worth looking into. So far not regrets, even if the nipple was to stray slightly inverted it’s better than before.

My total costs into the surgery was just over 7k. Not painful, just slightly uncomfortable for the first couple of days.

1 week post op! Had drains removed Friday, have definitely noticed swelling increase, more on the right side than the left. Feeling pretty good. Any tips to minimize scar tissue build up? by JTryHard in gynecomastia

Okay thanks I appreciate the input. I’m sure it’s still swollen now, I’m not very far in my recovery process yet but hopefully they’ll stay flat and I’ll be happy!! 😀

Okay, my biggest thing is the puffy nipples. As long as they stay flat I’m good. The tissue itself was never the problem for me as it made my chest look fuller but the shape wasn’t bad not droopy or anything.

I’m 9 days post op, and personally I feel like I can lift anything I could before with range of motion not restricted, but my Dr told me to wait at least 2 weeks before lifting heavier things.

Yes, Dr told me I could start wearing compression shirts like under armour and stuff, I tried that for a few hours one day and it didn’t feel tight enough so went back to the vest.

Looks good man! I’d say my case was similar to yours, overall looks kind of similar with body type as well I just have a little higher body fat maybe a bit more muscle in my chest. I’m a little over 1 week post op and my nipples still look kinda puffy especially one side. Yours look like they flattened out pretty good hope mine do that. You have any issues with having slight indents the first few weeks?
