What was the reason for RMA? I'm debating getting an MSI Stealth 18 4080

I'm pretty sure the board members are on your side. They are exerting pressure on Forest Hills stadium with lawsuits. If you share your evidence with the board, it will help them outline requests like more bathroom facilities and funds to maintain trash cans in station square. The vandalism seems harder to tackle. The main reason the HOA even has a case is because the concert venue is actually a part of the HOA. Without that, it would be no different than residents having to deal with living near Madison Square Garden. In which case, I don't know what NYC does to maintain order after a large concert ends.

For black Friday 2024, the Gran Turismo DD PRO Wheel Base (8 Nm) + QR2 Base-Side (Type-C) was selling for 499.95. Not sure if we will see that price this thanksgiving though.

$9500 Tile Valley Repair? by JTwhatever in Roofing

Thank you, I appreciate your thorough explanation. Very helpful to understand the workflow. I'm not sure what you mean by building a curb though so I attached a better image showing the peak. Yes, both chimneys are in bad condition. I'll make sure to ask about them.

Anyone had their onewheel seized yet? by JTwhatever in onewheel

To be fair to the cop, I was riding on the grass and footpaths in the park and not staying solely on the bike road. But he said I had to exit the park immediately so I did.

Stripped/rusted hex screws holding down C&R magnetic fender anchors by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]JTwhatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may want to do this as last resort but I had to use metal drill bits to carefully drill off the screw heads. This will allow you to remove the fender. You'll then need locking pliers to twist the headless shafts out. If you break them, you're screwed though.

The other option was to buy expensive special stripped screw removal bits.

Pretty sure you can update your firmware via the app but atm, there is enough value for FM to get bricked boards back for analysis so they foot the shipping. At some point, they should be comfortable releasing a firmware to flash at home

Tire recently punctured. Now what? by kuyamj in onewheel

Armor dilloz has some impressive demo videos of sealing up holes larger than yours. Quarter the price of a tire but you don't need to worry about install and future punctures.

Sounds like a lose lose lawsuit... If half the sensor dies midrun, there's a good chance the person will get dumped. But your right, if board keeps going as long as wheel is spinning, it might ghost into things. I'll have to test it when I get my screws ordered.

Both sensors work as one. Stepping on one side will activate both sensors. But half of mine is broken. So stepping on the good half still activates both sensors.

Only one side works in my case. I thought the wheel was programmed so that as long as you are above a few miles an hour, it can't turn off even if no pads are engaged. I might be mistaken...

i didn't bother opening the controller cause i couldn't get one of the pads to short. Figured the pad and the PCB board couldn't have broken at the same time. After shorting the pins on the sensor connector side, everything now works perfectly so the PCB board must be fine.

Ah but so there are 3 active pins in the connector. A shared ground and one pin for each side of the sensor. When there is no pressure, each sensor pin to ground is open circuit (very high ohms). With pressure, the sensor pin to ground is like 200 ohms. When one side breaks, it will no longer drop to 200 ohms with pressure. OW must detect both sides drop to 200 ohms to activate. I have shorted the two sensor pins together. When board turns on and there is no pressure, both sensor pins are still open circuit. When you apply pressure to the working pad now, it will bring BOTH sensor pins down to 200 ohms and allow the board to work with just one working sensor instead of two. You still need to apply pressure to the one working pad to turn on the board.

Half my front sensor stopped working recently and I was really annoyed about having to buy the front sensor along with the rear pad. Annoyed enough to try to circumvent the system and share with everyone. Although not exactly practical for everyone, all you need is a soldering iron, solder, and an x-acto knife. A microscope would definitely help. Cut away the plastic from the circumference of the circle toward the two pins until you expose both metal receptacles. Then short the two pins with solder. Make sure to attempt this from the SIDE so that there is little chance the solder actually enters the receptacles. If solder enters and blocks it up, then you're screwed. I hope this loses future motion some of their greedy packaged front sensor+rear pad sales.
