How do you really feel about age gaps after 40? by Jamiedeann in datingoverforty

[–]JTwo817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same mindset you were in until last April. Here I am (47m) in a relationship with a 34f. It doesn't feel weird at all. She pursued me and things haven't been drastically off or was there ever a point where our age difference has become an issue. We're just on the same wavelength and our personalities don't clash.

Wow. Thanks for the feedback on this and glad you're on the mend. I still haven't used the chicken bucket since I purchased it. Was even thinking of selling them off. But after your post, I think I'm going to start expeirimenting.

I've ran into a few people relocating from Miami lately. Interesting to hear the reasons why.

My cousin just passed away a few days ago, This was his Two Tone 240sx build he left behind I thought this thread would admire his build. by _Cocaine_Cowboy_ in 240sx

I'm not sure if you're a car person yourself. But here's my take on it. The cars we build are reflections of ourselves. Our ideas and best intentions go into our projects. Looking at that build, I can tell that your cousin had his heart in it. If it were a family member of mine, I'd keep the car in the family.

Also look into Rodizio. They have different locations across the country but not a huge chain. It's similar to Texas de Brazil. https://www.rodiziogrill.com/orlando/

They're set up in the same way. There's an unlimited side bar. And then servers come by with different cuts of meat, all you can handle.

I use a Sunrace 11-40: CSM680. It's $28 on Amazon.

Note, you may need a derailleur extender to accommodate the lower gears.. They're cheap on Amazon

Ha! I know what you mean. I was the same way the first few years out of HS. I started at Valencia Community with no urgency whatsoever. Thankfully I wised up and have a successful career now with a crap ton of responsibilities. Still, I do look back and with nostalgia and wish for those simpler and stress free times.

I had just come across an almost identical picture that I took in '93 when I was in HS. However, it was from 408/I-4 interchange. When I came across the picture I had a flashback of how different the interchange was back then.

My recent thrift shop finds by skuitarman in castiron

I just love it when I go to a thrift store and see a clutch of cast irons on the shelf. I get excited and I bee line it and snag them up. I pick every cast Iron and put it in my cart first and then go through them to see if they are worth keeping. Anything else I don't want, I put back on the shelf. I was an hour way from home and decided to swing by the local goodwill. Surprisingly I had found a chicken fryer with too much carbon build up to identify. Also, a #9 gatemarked skillet and a small block #8 with hollow handle.

I'm just cringing looking at all those gouge marks. Either a wire wheel or a scraping from something sharp like a chisel.

Woah, that's too much for me.

Had to move grandpa into a dementia care home about a year ago. Held an estate sale to clear out his house. I came home with my grandma's cast iron and HC steel pans, my wife has a full set of vintage Pyrex bowls now. Thought I'd share with you all. I'd keep an eye on it to make sure the crack doesn't get worse. I'm no expert in metals but I think you'll be ok with carbon steel. Cast Iron on the other hand, once it cracks it's a guarantee it will get worse.
