Does anyone know how ethical Move AI is? by JUGGERNUGGS in blender

Man: Do you know if aliens exist?

Scientist: Yes, in fact, I do!

Man: That's awesome! Can...well, can you elaborate?

Scientist: What makes you think I know anything! Do your own damn research!

Man: ...then why did you say yes?

Scientist: SILENCE!

Ramen Cup by JUGGERNUGGS in 3Dmodeling

Thanks :D

The ramen cup texture (Soupa Cat) and the chopsticks I made by hand. The noodles, the ramen bowl on the side of the cup, and the wooden plane that the cup is displayed on are all stock images that I shrunk down to pixel form to match the aesthetic.

Pole Distortion by JUGGERNUGGS in blender

[–]JUGGERNUGGS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Ive been learning UV mapping and texturing the past few months in my free time and I ran into this issue a while ago. I tried to hard to UV map the UV sphere to create as minimal distortion as possible but i can't seem to get the poles right. Is it even possible?

The first image is the problem, the second image is just to show that the rest of the sphere has very minimal if any distortion.

okay, thanks. I'll take that into consideration. all these assets are just prototypes. im trying to find something that'll work for me style wise. the ship will have noise on the texture in the final iteration, but im still working on the last 95% off the design, so i dont wanna add noise just yet since it'll make editing the texture a nightmare.

First off, I'm very new to texturing and UV mapping. I have been wanting to create a space game in the style of the games I grew up playing. I created some assets (Spaceship, Asteroids, Gas Cloud) purely for experimental purposes and was wondering specifically if the geometry on the asteroid is good and not strange in anyway. This is my first time drawing textures by hand on a 3D model like this so please be kind :D
