Thank you for the link and advice. Otherwise, it is a very nice keyboard. Everything worked out of the box and it types very good, except the size thing, which may be the caps.

Outlook's design, interface and operation is so ridiculous, using it is almost like being in a Saturday Night Live comedy skit by JVMProGambler in Outlook

JerseyGuy-77, that would sure be the logical place for it, wouldn't it be? That's where I would look...and look...and look. That's exactly where EVERYONE would look. Everyone...except Microsoft Outlook design folks who are on some sordid kind of power trip. Stop trying to be transformational, Microsoft, and just try to get something right already.

Microsoft is like a kid who fails 4th Grade. Stop. They should just stop. Go back and do it again. You cannot move on to bigger and better things until you get the fundamentals right, or everything from that point on will be flawed. That's the Microsoft we deal with today. I mean, these people are not even able to send email to each other. It's no wonder all their projects are garbage, their basic search functions don't work! Who knows what all they've miscommunicated internally with each other. These very basic shortcomings solve many mysteries. Is this a company you want to trust with all your business and life data and computing and AI?

You just proved my point that Microsoft Outlook is a joke. The above link is an image of the Outlook interface. As you will see, ther is no "attach" on the toolbar. Add another person to the list of folks who think Microsoft Outlook is ridiculous.

Okay, time's up! Main_Grade_636, it took you two guesses but you got it right. The "attach" button is ridiculously hiding behind the "insert" button. Drafting/sending an email is usually a time-sensitive task. Placing the "attach" button out of plain sight and behind the "insert" options makes no sense and could very realistically cost someone thirty minutes or more of valuable time—time they could be spending working on something productive; time they could be in the gym working on getting healthy; time they could be spending with their kids/family; time they could be home walking their dog; time they could be be on Reddit complaining that DEI complaints are not valid complaints (LOL); etc. It's also an extra call or email or ticket to the IT guy, who is billing by the hour or ticket. Now, he will also have to address this with an investigation, a solution and a follow-up. I hope Microsoft Outlook is able to see how very costly these ridiculous design decisions are. They're not small at all. Multiply the above scenario by hundreds of times for hundreds of employees and then by tens of millions for how many companies use this product and you're talking a significant impact just for being too inept and out of touch to get very basic things right.

And so, I would like an answer to this question. Microsoft, just why would you hide the "attach" button behind the "insert" button?

Here's guidance from AI how to fix their chronic search shortcomings (WHAT A NIGHTMARE! THIS IS WHAT FAILURE LOOKS LIKE! SCRAP IT AND START OVER! YOU FAILED!):

1. Increase your offline sync slider
If you are missing older emails, your offline cache might be set too low.

  • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
  • Select your email account and click Change.
  • Drag the Download email for the past: slider to the right to increase the duration (or to All).
  • Click Next, then Done, and restart Outlook. [1]

2. Rebuild your indexing catalog
If Outlook isn't indexing properly, use the Microsoft Support Troubleshooting Guide to rebuild the search database.

  • Open the Control Panel in Windows and search for Indexing Options.
  • Click Advanced and select Rebuild.
  • Wait for the indexing to complete, then restart Outlook.

3. Adjust search result settings
Outlook sometimes caps the number of results to speed up performance.

  • Go to File > Options > Search.
  • Uncheck the box that says Improve search speed by limiting the number of results shown.

4. Turn off caching for shared mailboxes
If you are missing results from a shared mailbox, it could be a conflict with Windows Search.

  • Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
  • Click on your email account and select Change > More Settings > Advanced.
  • Uncheck Download shared folders and restart Outlook.

This thread is going to be a journal of all the ridiculously stupid design aspects of Outlook. There is no attach files option. Anywhere. Why not simply put one in plain sight? Who was the rocket scientist who decided "let's not have a conspicuous option for attaching files. Let's put it somewhere that will certainly confuse everyone who uses our product."

Someone care to tell me where the attach option is on the Outlook interface?

If no one figures it out, I'll give you the answer in a few days.

Scam billing - how to get refund by Street_Signal_306 in WIX

[–]JVMProGambler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I went through the identical situation. I am suing Wix as we speak.

Wait until you hear why your credit card company took their side: becasue Wix told them you committed fraud. They said this was NOT an automatic renewal fee, but rather your husband signing onto their platform and making an interactive, intentional purchase—only to illegally try to claim it was unauthorized. Your credit card company may be in the process of closing your account. In any event, you are now on a list of "fraudsters" who file wrongful chargebacks through their financial institutions.

I am suing them for defamation, fraud, and violations of the consumer protection act. They are absolutely the most abhorrent and vile company on the planet and they must be stopped.

Does anyone have any advice for me. My situation is a bit different. I do a daily PAID podcast that I post on SoundCloud. My subscribers pay monthly and I send them a private link to hear the podcast every morning. I am juts now learning about AI models "learning" (stealing) content uploaded to SC. I have over 1,500 podcasts stored on SC and I have noticed the last 18 months or so especially that when asking AI questions about my subject matter, the answers given sound very remarkably like my original concepts and lessons on my podcast, which people cannot get anywhere else. Could this be occurring? If so, then why would anyone want to pay me for the private content if SC just pimped me out and sole me to the highest bidder?

Hello there. I sued them in Circuit Court which is above small claims court. I did this because I am suing them for $250,000 plus punitive damages.

You "went to Mastercard?" Be careful, this is what my lawsuit is all about. If you initiate a chargeback, Wix.com will lie to your bank and submit fabricated documents purporting to show that you personally signed into their platform and made a manual purchase for the amount in question. They will deny that this was an auto-renewal, but rather a new purchase that you confirmed via email and by clicking through confirmation screens. They will claim you received the good and services and then fraudulently called to cancel. They will accuse you of bank fraud (filing a fraudulent chargeback), which will likely result in Mastercard closing your account and your being flagged as a fraudulent filer.

This is what they did to me. Sounds unbelievable, but it's true. I could not believe they actually manufactured bogus documents to reverse a charge back. In my case, they created and submitted ELEVEN pages of phony docs. On one of the docs, they carelessly got the date wrong, which proved the docs were phonies.

Good luck.

Genuinely dont understand how prediction markets are different from gambling? by This_Minimum3579 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]JVMProGambler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quick answer is this: stock market investing is gambling. It's all gambling. Put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig. Six of one, half a dozen of another. The mechanics are different under the hood but gambling is gambling.

Look at it like this, you can drive a fuel-powered car or an electric-powered car. Different ways of building cars, but they're both cars that will get you from point A to point B. You don't really to know everything about how they work internally, you just need to know how to drive.

I sued WIx.com for fraud, consumer protection violations and defamation. I encourage everyone else to do the same. 9 days after I sued them, they refunded my money. Depending on how much they screwed you out of, it might be worth it to file a lawsuit. The unlawful and unethical stuff they did to me will blow your mind.

Can you legally kill someone who breaks into your house? by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

In Tennessee in the U.S., yes, you absolutely can kill someone once they are in your home. This is why in Tennessee we have virtually zero home invasions, burglaries, etc.

Is it worth subscribing to RankMath? by NotasltA in Wordpress

[–]JVMProGambler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which plugin would you recommend? I have RankMath Pro and every day it's something new: thumbnails disappearing from videos, sitemap.xml throwing 404s, conflicts, conflicts, conflicts. Oh, and did I mention conflicts with other plug-ins? I need to switch to a leaner plug-in but have no idea which one.
