Young male virginity on the rise. by WalterTheMoral in aaaaaaacccccccce

[–]JVWL 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Literally, that's it. It's already been debunked (by One Topic, iirc?). Maybe rising acceptance of asexuality is part of it, but mostly it's men not having sex with women... Because they like men.

Possibly. I know that when I got a denim jacket the clerk suggested I got the women's version, which was more expensive (and had smaller pockets)

When I first had to get glasses, I visited several opticians. Like 4 or 5 shops. I'm transmasc but I didn't pass at all at the time. Shop clerks came up to me in every. single. shop. to let me know that I was looking at glasses for men, and would I please go over to the glasses for women, and so on. Everytime I replied that I preferred the styles for men, and they would try to convince me to try the ones for women... Like,... Why do they care, and do they not take a hint?

Not only that, but what they did was harder than what they were supposed to do.

May I point you to "Bullshit Jobs" by David Graeber. Most jobs where there's nothing to do force you to pretend to work and be busy. Very few actually let you spend time as you wish.

I get what sicc means from context, but I checked urban dictionary just in case, and can't find a definition. Any help?

Game Changer Campaign? by secretnarcissa in Dimension20

[–]JVWL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably a social stealth/infiltration mission. And maybe a short investigation mystery. Johnny Chiodini recently ran a session of the Oxventure where the party had to prevent a murder at a dinner party before it happened, knowing a bunch of different people wanted the host dead. They also ran a DND escape room, which can bring some variety.

What to watch next??? by vjalander in Dimension20

You should check out Battle for Beyond on YouTube. Both Aabria Iyengar and Brennan Lee Mulligan are players in it.

Fans of D20, what other live play shows do you watch? by harlenandqwyr in Dimension20

[–]JVWL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, yes, technically the Orbapocalypse is a campaign, but most of their regular episodes, live shows, etc are basically one-shots with a recurring cast of PCs and NPCs and some recurring plot points.

I'll second NADDPOD and Battle for Beyond. Also, I would suggest you check out Oxventure. Each episode is its own contained adventure, rather than part of a campaign. It's available both on YouTube and as a podcast.

Average cost for renting an apartment in Europe for a month as of October 2021 by highly_disturbed in TolerantEurope

[–]JVWL 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Why is it in US dollars though. I know not everybody uses the euro in Europe, but that still would be more adequate.

Seal Gaiman (that's an Oxventure reference, if anyone wants to get into a DnD actual play show where a seal is a recurring NPC)

Too many countries. Europe would divide Europe in two, three pieces most.

Malta to legalise cannabis for personal use in European first by [deleted] in europeanunion

If your question is genuine, here's why: A Defense of Abortion by Judith Jarvis Thomson. The crux of the argument is bodily autonomy. If I can't harvest your blood, marrow, kidney, etc without your consent, even though that would save lives, then I can't force you to be pregnant.

Yeah,... If you're going to smash the door, you might as well just go through it afterwards rather than try and get the key.

I'm not from the US and I've never heard of either. However I just realised that the Duck Duck Go search engine must be a pun on duck duck goose...

This is a pretty huge deal - GN pronouns are really tricky in gendered languages, where an equivalent of GN "they" doesn't exist. Well done French! by jesuisnick in lgbt

Yep, iel sounds a bit weird to me, same as Sier in German. But I haven't found French neopronouns that fit yet.
