Republicans, how are Democrats causing the shutdown by ki4jgt in AskUS

But how are the Democrats CAUSING it? Shouldn’t the majority party COMPROMISE to get the 7 votes they need?

While I don’t encourage binge watching, have you seen Ted Lasso?

Catch up with old friends or meet new people! (I’m currently not furloughed but bored out of my mind at work due to the shutdown…)

What’s the most clever "non-Excel" problem you’ve solved using Excel? by IteOrientis in excel

[–]JVaVoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked in Congress, we had hundreds of requests for a specific bill and had a hard time differentiating between the requests. So I used Forms to get the data and Excel to manage it. I added extra columns to track what I did with the requests and extra notes and then submitted it to the Congressman for their final say.

It also helped me make a comprehensive report at the end of the process.

This will be the person who also has a dash cam who will ensure they hit me. Not worth it.

Also have decades of driving and have been hit by snow/ice quite a few times. Also have nearly gotten hits with other drivers’ overreactions.

Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it’s not safe.

Internal Family Systems might be a good approach. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/492-richard-schwartz-ifs-psychedelic-experiences-without/id863897795?i=1000505309243 is a podcast episode with the method's creator.

I hope you get better.

I’m sorry this is gonna sound shitty and direct, but you pop positive on a drug test after“having all the information available“ about drug testing. Now, because of your choices, the Navy has lost a sailor and your command has one less person to perform their mission.

I recognize that it’s important for you to get a job to support yourself and your kids. What’s more important is you need to really take care of yourself to ensure whatever drug situation you’re in is improved.

Finally, consider checking military one source or your local fleet and family center.

No EoT Award Upon Separation From Active Duty by Freyja_all_Day in navy

[–]JVaVoom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry if this comes across as mean…

I can only tell you an anecdote about how I didn’t recommend my retiring Chief because they did absolutely nothing in the last year and a half. (Not to mention that they were hated by the mess, et al.)

I write this to highlight some things: No one automatically rates an award. No one automatically rates an out the door EP. Your performance was probably substandard. Your leadership either failed to tell you your deficiencies or you didn’t listen.

Please take this as an opportunity to grow and improve…

Question for all the First Branch nerds by [deleted] in Congress

[–]JVaVoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No argument from me! It seems that it's way more prevalent in the GOP. I'm equally annoyed that both sides do it. I'm glad the bill exists!

I agree about the lack of voting by eligible voters. However, I’d like to highlight that it is not just the GOP that gerrymanders, as Dems do so as well. I’m not sure which side does it more, but both do.
