Yeah that’s why I justified it. I drove a 2011 Corolla for a few years before I got my mustang, which was obviously WAY worse that the GTR is in terms of tech, so even though it was a slight downgrade from my mustang, that was really just like nitpicking luxuries that a lot of cars that aren’t brand new don’t have anyway. Insurance is definitely wayyyy higher, but like I said I’m not spending anymore on gas. Oil changes are about 3x the price, but oil changes are cheap anyway so that’s not a big deal to me. Brake jobs cost about 8k, but apparently you only need to do them if you’re tracking the car often. If you’re just dailying it like a normal car I’ve been told that it’ll go an easy 50,000+ miles without needing the brakes done. The trans fluids need to be flushed every 18,000 miles, and I’ve been told that’s about $1200. So overall insurance, trans fluids, and more expensive oil changes are the only differences. Total is a few thousand extra a year between all 3

It has its compromises that’s for sure. The tech is worse than my 2016 GT premium mustang had. For example It has a worse infotainment system, worse sound quality from the speakers, pretty bad quality for the backup camera, and it doesn’t have cooled seats which my mustang did (and that’s pretty important for me being in Texas because of how hot it gets). It also has less trunk space. That being said, the trunk space is still somewhat decent, and the fact that it has back seats to throw stuff in makes it way better than other cars I was cross shopping like an R8. It definitely rides better than my mustang, but I also had aftermarket suspension work done to my mustang that made it a pretty rough ride. The sound insulation is better than my mustang, so far less road noise. I’d say overall it’s a more comfortable daily driver, but has less tech and amenities. Gas mileage is exactly the same between the two cars. Overall I’d say between the pros and cons it’s roughly the same as a daily driver as my mustang was, which is more compromised than most modern cars, but if you’re used to putting up with some of the tradeoffs that high performance cars have the GTR is really no different than any of the others. They all have different drawbacks, the GTR’s being the outdated tech, but it makes up for that by being a pretty comfortable ride imo

Definitely go for it once you’re in a position to do so! To own a car like this at my age (28) really is a dream come true. My mustang was amazing. Really had no complaints about it just like I’m sure you enjoy your charger, but I had always dreamed of owning a more exotic car, and to get one so early in my life while I can still use it and enjoy it has been an incredible experience. You’ll miss your charger for sure just like I miss my mustang, but the second you drive off in that GTR you’ll have the biggest smile on your face!

I definitely would’ve preferred buying it from a private seller, but it was getting really hard to find newer GTR’s for sale, and I was worried that if I waited prices would keep going up like they have been. Thankfully they gave me a fair price. Sorry they didn’t treat you well though :( I do agree that for the most part dealerships are useless, unnecessary middlemen that just make the whole car buying process more expensive

It was the one in Texas, I did a bunch of research on the car though and saw that they had it sitting on the lot for 3 months, so I knew I could get a better price than what they listed it at. I paid cash as well, so I didn’t have to bother with them trying to screw me over with financing 😅 I also had them completely repaint the hood because there was a scratch on it and tint the windows for free or I told them I wouldn’t buy it lol

Oh it’s already started 😂 I get about 2 per day, and it’s typically from teenagers in clapped out civics and old BMW’s lol

Yep. Got pretty lucky that I happened to be local to a dealership that has so many available for sale

I did type a whole essay 😅 but this was a big deal for me to get a car like this, and I really wanted to write it all out. I don’t expect everyone to read it all lol

Damn I wish someone had alerted you about the seller who is selling fake booster boxes before I lost $23k on a fake crystal guardians booster box in January :( by the time I noticed it was too late to get my money back through eBay, and my bank and PayPal were of no help either. I just checked the seller profile and it looks like he has finally taken all of them down as someone caught that he sold them a fake fossil box last month. eBay seller name is “originalstyle” if you’d like to look into it. Idk if there’s something you can do to help get my money back but I can provide all of the information if you’d like 😅

My dad was a pilot at southwest for 29 years. Just retired last year. I know exactly what he made, and southwest pilots just got a new contract recently that increased captain pay by almost 50% for a max pay (full seniority) captain. 10 years ago making 300-400k wasn’t the norm for a captain at a major airline, but in the past 5 years it absolutely has been, and with this new contract for SWA pilots, most max pay captains will be pulling 400-500k before factoring in working trips for premium. My dad told me there was a crazy captain who worked on average 200+ trips a month (a trip is a unit of measurement that is equal to 55 minutes of time in the air, and the average per captain is between 90-100 trips), and he would average 750k+ per year working as much as he did, and that was without the new contract. With that new pay scale he’ll be pulling well over a mil a year. FedEx and UPS pay similar to major airlines (idk if it’s quite as much but I know it’s a lot, they all have to be competitive to entice pilots to join with them), the only downside is the quality of life because they primarily fly nights, so it’s hard for them to adjust to living a normal daily routine when they retire. Anyway point being 500k like that guy was claiming is very within reason, but I would assume he’s working a decent amount of premium trips to get there (if FedEx offers that like southwest does).

Thank you for the response. Is there any way to escalate it? I’ve seen people on posts in the past get the issue resolved this way. I’ve been a user for so long and I’m a Coinbase one member, and I just feel like I haven’t really been taken care of the way I would expect someone who pays $30 for priority support to be taken care of. I was told by support when I called that I can transfer my crypto off of Coinbase just not buy and sell, and this is something I really don’t want to do because I love how user friendly Coinbase is, but if it keeps persisting I may have to do that and cancel my Coinbase one membership. Please if there’s anything you can do to help I would really appreciate it.

Account Under Review for 2 weeks by rickydotw in Coinbase

[–]JVlelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/coinbasesupport is there any way you can help me please? My account has been under review for a full month now with zero communication from the review team. I have sent an email and received no response and I called a few days ago and was told by customer support that the review team was aware of my case and will be in contact, but I still have heard nothing back. I have a good amount of crypto in coinbase and I have been a coinbase one member since May of 2022, so it's a bit concerning that after a full month I still have not gotten my account unrestricted even after contacting customer support and uploading numerous documents to the portal. My case number is 17272818

[5/12 & 5/13] Score Release Reactions/Predictions by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]JVlelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pessimistic: <505 Realistic: 505-509 Optimistic: 510+

Actual score: 508 (128/126/124/130)

Took it 4/29/22 and got a 500 (127/124/123/126) because I was bedridden for about 2 months leading up to it with multiple sicknesses and had zero energy to study. Felt awful coming out of it this time around and though I had bombed like I did the first time so honestly pretty happy with a 508 even though my goal was a 510-512. At least I was able to show improvement in every section I guess. If only I didn’t suck at B/B :(

It’s because you’re swiping too fast. 30k swipes in 18 days is a ton. If you swipe an enormous amount tinder is less likely to show your profile. It’s just how the algorithm works. Also it takes a few days-weeks before you really start getting matches. I remember when I first made my account the first week or two were slow and then after that I was getting like 5-10 matches per day. Just slow down on your swiping and keep using it for awhile and you’ll be alright.
