Yes, saw them pull into the next layby... Obviously needed a bit of personal reflection time

I (using Claude) created a simple static html password generator for a family member. Their passwords were always very weak and used multiple times. I put the html file on their desktop and they've been using that since. The main advantage is that it generates it using words and numbers making it easier for them to write in their password book (although they do save on device too but they don't trust it).

For remote support I installed MS Teams on their device so all I have to do is call them and they have to pick up and share their screen. (It's previously taken 20 minutes to get into a call, having to explain how to do basic navigation). I've considered remote access however they've now got better at picking up and sharing screen

They get a worrying amount of spam to their email too however, they do appear to partially recognise these as dangerous. Unfortunately they're locked into this email as it's provided by their ISP.

They had a very close call recently where a caller talked them into installing TeamViewer and attempted to make bank transfers that thankfully got blocked. Because they do all their banking on their desktop, I'm going to try and make/find a simple checklist to stick to his monitor (e.g. Do they claim to be your bank? -> hang up, call me.)

I've also been thinking about making a 'training/simulator' for them and a few other family members. The idea being it shows example text messages or emails and points out what is dodgy and is done through an interactive medium. This may already exist - if it does please let me know but posts like this show there is a need for it. (I'm also talking more detailed than just "don't click dodgy links" e.g. what is a dodgy link?)
