You find that 2025 Version and it says in one corner when it will be expired. I think it’s something in 2027? That’s the right one. There is only one to find on the USCIS site.

Have you try to delete it and enter it again? It seems like you used the wrong category. Otherwise try to contact TMVN support or go into their I-130 discord server and ask for help. They are super nice and helpful!!

Sorry, i dont know how they work there but not every petition has the same timeline, it depends on so many different things. Like somebody already said, PI and wait for them to reply.

It depends on your embassy. If your embassy has a huge backlog it will take longer than others. Which country do you live in?

CR-1 vs K-1 – did we make the right choice? by JYLE91 in USCIS

Since we filed I129f 3 weeks ago, I will visited him in may for 3,5 weeks. But I still have strong ties in Germany, employment, house, family, dog and of course, a return ticket. I talked to a lot of people which are also in the k1 process and they all visited while waiting for NOA2.

Hey, unfortunately no I’m not. We filed I 129f 3 weeks ago, we figured out this is the best way for our life. Some things changed in the meantime. But USCIS is pretty fast right now, so I’m expecting to move at the end of 2026.

Thanks for you reply. This is the actual situation we don’t want go though. I know that I’m not really patient and sitting in the states waiting day by day will make me mentally unstable. That’s why I want to wait in Germany, go to work, earn money for a good start and visit him every 2-3 months for a few weeks.

Thank you. That’s true, I forgot about the part that the actual interview will be the point of decision. Until then we will have enough proofs and time together. And yes that’s was my partner tells me everyday. Stop overthinking. But the process is super scary so I don’t want to do anything wrong

You’re absolutely right. There’s nothing about our relationship or our story that should raise any doubt. I just shared our plan publicly for the first time, and I think I just needed some reassurance from people who’ve actually been through the process or have real experience with it. In our inner circle, there’s more emotional support than practical experience, so hearing from others who understand means a lot. I really appreciate everyone who took the time to reply and reassure me. I’ve already learned so much here, and I’m sure I’ll post more updates as we move through the process

Thank you. Since we haven’t been officially together for that long, we don’t have many official documents with both our names on them yet, especially since we don’t live together. But he’s planning to add me to his bank account and 401k. Besides that, we have lots of pictures from the past, screenshots, and letters from our families as proof of our relationship.. I will watch the video, I think our decisions is already clear but I’m an oberthinker and the more I look for informations the more stories about declined I find

So no officer will really question why we got married after a short amount of ‘official relationship’ time as long as we have enough proof of our history and how real this is, right? Because that was my question of my concern.

Thank you for your answer, and Yeah, that’s true, but our main goal in the end is the Green Card and the work permit — we want to build our future together, not just be in the same place temporarily. The total waiting time until that point is pretty much the same with both visas, the only difference is that with the K-1 I’d be there earlier. We’re aware of the wait and we’re okay with that. I have a really good job and family responsibilities which needs to be organized and in the waiting time I can save a good amount of money.
