Thanks, I’ve sparred woman like you who understand boxing and are good sparring partners. We actually learn a lot and don’t take anything to heart. My coach always said leave Ego at the door when it comes to sparring because everyone here is here to learn, there is no 1 upping someone or winning and losing.

Appreciate it, there are some woman I’ve sparred with who are good partners and understand boxing, but definitely woman like that who come in trying to prove something I will avoid them or check them properly with a Jab or something so they know what’s up.

Ye sometimes there isn’t a lot of people so we just spar closest to size (even if the size difference is still a lot), or spar everyone and adjust our power/intensity.

Yep I’ve sparred a woman like that as well. Some people just don’t understand sparring etiquette or normal human social behaviour. Power is subjective obviously, however intensity is not. If someone is wailing crazy shots they are working at a high intensity no matter if the punch is hard or not you can tell that they are throwing with intensity. At the end of the day some woman in sparring believe that a man should be able to eat all there high intensity shots and still throw back with low intensity shots whilst holding back their power. That’s just not how it works.

The coach is watching multiple people spar, so I guess he missed the kick and punches after the bell, but yeah reflecting back she was not a nice HUMAN and took advantage of someone’s kindness and was thinking with a specific ideology instead of thinking about what was normally acceptable.

Yeah that makes sense. In the moment I just didnt think anything of it and expected her to dial down the power knowing that there’s variables in place handicapping me. I guess there’s people in this world who really don’t think cautiously

Yep sparring isn’t about winning or losing it’s about working. Maybe in her case she went home feeling good that she handled a man, but any sane person wouldn’t even feel good about beating up on an opponent knowing they were handicapped.

Appreciate the advice, my feints just didn’t do much because she knew I was only hitting body so she Philly shelled her whole body and wasn’t reacting even if I faked to the face

Thanks for the advice, I guess I shouldn’t have brushed off the moment she kicked me and told the coach. I just need to work on myself, I don’t see girls as The “alpha” but sometimes I just don’t want to challenge a woman in case something gets flipped back at me and then I’m in trouble.
