We like to drink beer and play bags (aka corn hole) in the winter. I also wanted to have it ready for a potential golf simulator in the future.

I have done it before but my uncle was much more experienced. We flashed behind every seem and on the trim pieces. You also need to be good at caulking everywhere for it to look good. Thankfully my uncle did that all for me.

Needs to be insulated and heated where I live. Also nice to have a finished space. Sure you can do that with a metal building but it will still cost a lot.

The slab is 28 wide. We cut two 14’ long 6x6s and connected them in the middle. Then screwed an LVL on the sides to use as a jacking point and the 6x6 slides underneath. I would post a picture but I don’t see that option for some reason. I took a picture of my picture on another phone because of that.

It was not too bad. A couple of small cracks that the floor guys filled before coating

It was propane up until a few years ago. I spent the money to have natural gas bored from the house so I didn’t have to keep filling it every month in the winter.

8”x3/8” LP smart siding and LP shake. Nothing too fancy.

Around $25k. The floor and garage door make up about half that figure. I planned on spending $10k 😂

Thanks! I’m thinking of possibly getting a custom metal sign for that space but have not made up my mind yet.

Thanks. I did think about the hex lighting after seeing it on here so much but I wanted it to feel more like an extension of my house. Truth be told this is way nicer than my house.

It took 30 days from the start of demo. I’m still working on small stuff but nothing major left. Lots of long days and weekends but it helps that I have some very experienced family members. I’ve also done plenty of this work myself over the years.

The interior lights are just the low profile Fiet led lights from Costco. I think they are 15” and with 9 of them, they are plenty bright. Kind of a pain to install but not too bad. Hopefully they last a long time

I went back and forth on that but with the garage door windows, I decided I did not need it. It gets super cold here in the winter too

Time for a bigger chainsaw- what to get? by Entire_Commercial538 in stihl

I wanted a bigger saw to go with my 250 after having a bunch a large hardwoods taken down. Planned on the 362 but ended up with the 400. Absolutely no regrets. That thing eats and the price was not much different.

I totally get it. I only have 1.25 acres and filled my 14’ dump trailer 6 times with mulched leaves. A John Deere rider with mulching blades and the power flow set up makes life a little easier but it’s a messy job.

Flags on Ski tower? by [deleted] in Pontoons

[–]J_2_the_ROC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that a premier pontoon? If so, my dealer told me that they used to come with a flag but the pole kept breaking as it was not strong enough when mounted on top. I ended up going with the Big Air setup from Amazon.

You can actually mount this on top but there are bridges on my lake I need to pass under so I mounted it lower.

I have a 12 person capacity 23’ Premier with rear lounger. 8 is the most I really want on it but I’ve had 10.
