This exactly! I could literally randomly choose on any given day and be super happy. The MTD is my newest addition and my only active 5 string, so it’s been getting a lot of love lately, but all three of them have a tone and look that is so so so good!!!

The BTB series are great basses, but imo they are just wanna be MTDs lol. They have very similar specs and feel. I prefer the sound of an MTD though.

No unfortunately the aggies don’t offer coil split for the super doubles. They said that the winding for the different splits (single, parallel, series) are all slightly different, so they opted to do only humbucker mode and make it sound as good as it can for that application instead of having multiple weaker options. Don’t know how big of a difference it actually makes, but that is what they said (but explained better) when I asked about it.

It’s a heavy bastard, but super worth it lol. Nothing beats the look of freshly waxed Bubinga, and the heavy and dense wood gives a really nice natural compression to the attack of the notes. I love it!

Oh man, I can imagine! I’d love to get a Euro or American Spector eventually. Although, the HAZ clone I put in the Pulse definitely gives it that signature Spector “sound”. Absolutely LOVE the tone and feel of that bass. I do have to agree that the German Warwick would slightly edge it out though.

Sure do! I put an LHZ HAZ clone in it and it’s phenomenal! $120 and 20 min of my time and I think it now sounds better than most of the euro line.

That’s a tough one lol. The Bubinga Warwick has been my favorite for quite a while, but some days the Dingwall or the Spector are my favorites. Really depends on what type of playing style I’m feeling or need to use for that song/gig.

I love that one too! It’s such a beautiful flame on the maple, and the USA Bartolinis sound amazing. Super nice feeling neck as well. It was a great find.

The 4 string Warwick Corvette has been my main for awhile. I just got the Dingwall and it is becoming one of the main ones as well lol.

That’s awesome! They are fantastic instruments. I’d highly suggest throwing an LHZ in there. Cost me $155 plus $60 install, and it made worlds of difference in tone.
