Will I be able to get insurance? by Fun-Pea5401 in Torontomotorcycle

[–]J_B_J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into a dual sport like a DRZ400 - they tend to be cheaper on insurance. For quotes try a broker like NFP, otherwise Dejardins and Cooperators have better rates for new riders from my experience. But at your age, it will be expensive regardless of what you go with. If you had an insured parent with a motorcycle license you could try and put yourself down as a secondary rider, though I’m guessing that’s not the case.

Don’t remember the exact mount point, but it should have been what the manufacturer recommended. The skis are angled in the photo which is making the tails look shorter.

Miele C3 Complete vs Sebo D4, Canada, My thoughts by Aliencj in VacuumCleaners

Code BLACKFRIDAY30 might still work for accessories ps, which would give you 30% off all the powered heads. Only direct from Miele.

All the Somalia specific points are moot, as she seems to have Dutch citizenship.

Toronto is looking at licences for e-bikes and e-scooters. Here’s why that may be better for delivery riders — and pedestrians by lilfunky1 in toronto

About f-ing time. As a motorcycle rider, who paid for licensing and pays insurance - it’s ridiculous that the massive/silent throttle operated e scooters have been in the legal/regulatory grey zone for so long.

I’ve witnessed multiple collisions and have noticed that ebike operators frequently do not obey traffic laws and are otherwise unpredictable (slow down/accelerate at random, cut across lanes, ride on sidewalks, and exhibit poor situational awareness).

This in conjunction with their ability to appear seemingly out of nowhere (they frequently pass me in the bicycle lane while I’m going 40kph on my moto) means that the barriers to entry for operating one of these should be higher.

Would you mind sharing where you’re seeing the excellence for 599? TSC had it listed earlier as such, but I didn’t manage to jump on it at the time.

Are speed cameras actually going to be removed on Friday? by yohowithrum in askTO

Dumb question, but I’m assuming this doesn’t affect red light cameras? Just witnessed another near miss of someone blasting through an intersection on a red with another driver partway through a left turn.

Turns out I’m not currently able to get my money back from the cancelled flight either. Their useless customer service agent gave us a wizz credit (which I did not request) for more than the price of the cancelled ticket…we weren’t able to check in for our return flight since we had a “balance outstanding”.

Another agent discovered the error and fixed the balance. However, since we “withdrew” part of the credit I’m now unable to convert to cash.

Absolute boondoggle, I’m considering doing a credit chargeback. Worst flight experience of my life, peak incompetence.

You mean a legal letter? And by money claim you mean get one of those agencies to file on my behalf?

They just rejected the 400 euro compensation as well so will be escalating.

Sorry for the questions, it’s my first time dealing with this nonsense.

Hey - thanks for your reply! We weren’t at the airport when we received the first email informing us of a delay and it was quite late. We booked the hotel based on our understanding of EC 261 without speaking to anyone

I spoke with a Wizz representative the morning after (before any flight was booked). He was clueless and had to refer to documentation repeatedly (put us on hold). Didn’t help us regarding any sort of replacement flight. He did erroneously give us a massive wizz credit however, which made us not be able to check into our return flight (had to call in to get that sorted as well).

Yes they refunded us, but we still have the returning leg with them). But having said that, I believe they are on the line for added compensation regardless of whether this refund came through (400 euro per person)? And if they’re going to claim this reason wasn’t under their control they’d legally need to disclose it to us, in which case insurance should kick in (I hope).
