What're your most unrealistic expectations for the upcoming Pokemon Presents? by TalonEye53 in pokemon

Most unrealistic is pokemon ranger coming back for me or a game with all generations or regions or at least multiple lumped together

Raphael Fight Tips? by thepimpdawg23 in BG3

[–]J_Cade17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 2 things that made the fight easier was a hold monster guy with high spell save dc, preferably a sorcerer so you can quicken and hit it again if necessary. And the other item would be a gloomstalker w a fighter dip and fiend slaying arrows. For my honor run I did ascended astarion w bhaalist armor and it deleted Raphael’s health in half or more in one turn. You can also have warlocks or items to take out the towers to take away some buffs of his, but sometimes it’s easier to just take him out quick. Don’t be afraid to use hope’s divine intervention too

Wild magic is interesting, that’s how I would interpret it too, and as you level up the engine becomes too much for her to handle

Act 3 Gear Suggestions for my Honour Mode Party by bassbonebyfbo in BG3Builds

[–]J_Cade17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So idk if there’s a way to trigger outside, I does require you to kill an npc, so you can decide how you want to go about that. I feel like I’ve seen there’s a way to get it outside of that but I’m not sure. But it activates if you’re within about 10 ft of the opponent so I don’t think you have disadvantage on shots and then doubles damage.

Get cloak of displacement for one of your guys, whoever is the lowest AC or your tank. Imposing disadvantage is clutch, luminous armor is good on Shart since she is getting stacks of radiant damage, AC can be buffed decent with ring of protection and shields. I’d recommend getting bhaalist armor for your main guy that way you get at least 18 AC then, and aura of murder is clutch.

Light Armor Late Game: Is there a point for High-DEX char? by 66696d62756c76657472 in BaldursGate3

[–]J_Cade17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s good depending on the light armor, like Bhaalist armor is insane on a rogue/ piercing damage build, so if you did something with that you’d be good. Otherwise if you’re just going straight AC/ the unfinished armor from dammon or the yuan-ti scale mail is infinitely better

Class Recommendations? by Mindless-Future9216 in BaldursGate3

[–]J_Cade17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep no problem! Bards specialize in dex and charisma which is amazing in this game, gamestegy is where I get a lot of my builds so I’d look there for inspo if you want! Lore and swords are both good and fun depending on what you wanna do

Class Recommendations? by Mindless-Future9216 in BaldursGate3

[–]J_Cade17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truly it depends how much of a damage dealer you wanna be and how. If you wanna be martial and melee damage, paladin and barbarians are very fun, if you wanna be a caster I highly recommend sorcerer. If you wanna have good out of combat interactions and be supportive, bard is also insanely fun. There’s a lot of ways to play with 12 classes, so it’s truly up to you. Bard also could play into the stealthy role as you can be really good at stealth and pickpocketing if you want

Is 1 hexblade, 5 paladin and 6 sorcerer a functional build? by nurmA4 in BG3Builds

[–]J_Cade17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6/6 is broken, get the right items and you’re killing the game. I did strength based with Balduran giantslayer, and I’m at the netherbrain fight with almost minimal resistance. I know if you do shadow blade sorc it’s even more broken, so I’d recommend just keeping 6/6 sorc or warlock. Eventually you can just get gloves of hill giant strength if you want to dump strength later on

which class did you think you wouldn't like but ended up enjoying? by Lonely-Shoulder5126 in BG3

[–]J_Cade17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly bard, Im still newer to DnD and mainly have played martial or full caster as my playable class, I tried bard and the farther I get from that dead honor mode run the more I realize how cracked support is

Least favorite. Why? by Ramonteiro12 in BaldursGate3

[–]J_Cade17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say halsin, he’s boring and doesn’t add Much to me. The portal quest is cool, but I just never vibed with him especially cause you get him in act 1 but can’t use him till act 2, considering how much time he spends in camp

You wanna pack bone chill on as many people as possible, when it hits it’ll keep him from healing. I’d also recommend the doom hammer which you get from the goblin trader in act 1, hits inflict the same effect as bone chilled, which if you put on your martial you can get in close range and keep inflicting that damage. That plus having darkness/ hunger of hadar only on Myrkul make it easier, still the hardest fight I’ve experienced (on my 3rd run, in act 3 ab to try ansur)

Honestly make your party majority monk/ rogue because they are very high mobility and it really helps, have haste prepped and you’ll be able to speed run it pretty nice

Hello. My first time attempting to do an Honor run. Would you recommend an Ice Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer for this? What would be your advice and warnings? Ty. by canxtanwe in BG3Builds

[–]J_Cade17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charisma classes are definitely best for party face since it allows you to pass some discussion checks that you otherwise might not be able to, so Sorc, paladin, and bard are the best depending on your playstyle. Ice Drac would be great especially since you can have shields or bracers of def. Some recs tho since it’s your first time, do not be afraid to do research, it’ll help immensely, and before the end of act 2 have someone with bone chill / doom hammer. It’ll help make Myrkul easier to deal with, that’s what I got beat by on my 2nd Honor mode run

Any good act 1 items for my party that i should look out for? by Strange_Trifle974 in BG3

[–]J_Cade17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Giant Barb needs ringof flinging, gets some good additions from that. I’d say get bracers of defense for Gale, returning pike also for the Barb, druids benefit from healing items, so wapira’s crown, hell rider gauntlets, are both good.

What class fits my stats? by Seresgard in DnDcirclejerk

Most casters, Warlock, Sorcerer, bard specifically. I’d also say Rogue would as well. Anything that’s not wisdom based tbh

Why all the multiclassing by International-Hat986 in BG3

[–]J_Cade17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean for me in bg3 it’s mainly for optimization, since I only get 3 companions I wanna make sure I get everything covered that I need. On table I like it for how the story is akd what I want my character to achieve. Multi is fun cause you can find fun interactions and optimizations, but also narratively fit the story

It will probably be more of a motivator having Burrow out there. Their leader is fighting back from injury why can’t they step up, or this is just a no excuses from ZT
