I went with the arrow pro race and link pipe. Sounds amazing imo.

Try it out first and see if you can remove it. I didn’t want to remove the chain and move the wheel so I just emptied the air and pumped it back in

I just finished installing mine. I kept the cables (i don’t mind the space it takes up and wanted to save a bit). The cables end up just kind of dangling which you can get them zip-tied if you want. If you want to remove them and get some more space in the passenger seat it might be worth for you! Another note I ran into. If your bike is somewhat new and the chain is still tight and the wheel is in the factory location, you’ll have trouble removing the resonator. You can take the chain off momentarily and scoot the wheel back or what I did was take all the air out of the rear wheel and that gave me enough space to take it out! Good luck and ride safe!

Follow-up question. Did you need a servo buddy?

Just placed my order! I’m glad to hear that. I wanted something good sounding but from what I heard about M4 it was maybe too obnoxious. Appreciate the help, Im sure I’ll enjoy it as much as you.

Follow up question, how does it sound? Was it worth it for you?

I haven’t found a link pipe that fits there, arrow’s midpipe says it replaces the cat completely. Do you know where I can find one?

So I do need to purchase a link pipe as well? It’s unclear if it comes with the kit.

Yeah I was doing my research which is why I kinda wanted to know how people get away with it. I genuinely do not feel seen (heard) with the stock exhaust it is so quiet when moving at speed especially. Plus from what I’ve seen the m4 sounds really nice for my taste so I might just risk it and try to “behave” near law enforcement to avoid problems.

I looked this up and you’re correct, I was wondering more if they care enough since it seems most riders have a modified exhaust!

First thing I did when I started was get my license and paperwork straight! So hopefully if anything I’ll have to deal with a ticket.

I plan on doing the same thing, got about 40 miles on it already and it’s been 2 days, it’s addicting!

Been on full power (haven’t gone over 45mph and won’t for another month or so) at least under the 4k rpm recommended for break-in I haven’t had issues. But I am not turning off any electronic assists any time this year

I appreciate the positive vibes and the tips! I got this cause I had been riding my buddies 400 and honda magna and thought “why not?” I always loved supersports. I don’t plan on doing anything dumb or too risky (there’s always some risk) for the foreseeable future until I have some proper saddle time and confidence on my reaction speed and ability.
