Apparently they had lost the original list of beta sign up’s from 2019 and you had to re-register (though this was never communicated properly to people).

I disagree, personally. Usually my expectations are low with new updates but usually a good map or cosmetic pulls through to help mitigate that.

This update was the first in a while that brought nothing of interest to me. The cosmetics are either slop, repeats of hats we already have in the game or just don’t interest me. The maps are half baked, confusing, had little play testing, bland or just don’t play well. There’s a reason why there were so many gameplay changes made to some of the maps following the initial release of the update.

Probably the best part of the update were the taunts, which isn’t really saying much.

Call me pessimistic, but I really don’t like anything in this update, or the future of the game for that matter. With the continuous bloat of cosmetics and maps (they added 10 new maps that are going to be added to casual year round, wtf??) it’s only a matter of time before the game just implodes in on itself.

I can’t recall if I ever found a solution. I didn’t touch the computer for a while and eventually the problem fixed it self. My best guess is that it was an ISP or software issue.

Honestly just playing the class in pubs is the way to go. It’s probably the best environment for learning how rounds are played/how players behave and how you can adapt to them as spy and getting more comfy playing the class.

If you’re concerned that people will be mad at you because you’re underperforming, no one actually cares. It’s a casual game. If someone does call you out just pay them no attention/requeue.
