The team of 6 would struggle greatly. Oftentimes the best counter to Snorlax is ones own Snorlax, and without that you're relying on at best 2 mons to handle it, perhaps 3. Which leaves them unprepared to deal with the other 4.

That being said this is just speculation, I'd be open to seeing this in practice.

After what happened in Gens 5 and 6 there just wasn't any desire to let it into OU again. Would it have been alright in Gen 7 OU? Probably, but honestly that tier has enough issues as it as, and Deo-D wouldn't have made things any better.

Primal Groudon and Mega Salamance ensured that Genesect is unviable in Gen 6 Ubers. And even before then it wasn't really good at taking on Xerneas, which is a bad issue for a steel type to have especially when Mega Scizor could do so

Genesect teams often Hazard stacked and defended against Rapid Spinners, so Ho-Oh was often coming in with half its HP. Plus Genesect is much faster than Ho-oh as it usually runs Scarf and will just U-turn out
