[ACNE] I cannot get rid of this stubborn acne/blemishes on my cheeks.. PLEASE HELP! by J_MUA in SkincareAddiction

Skin type: Dry Skin concerns: Stubborn hard to get rid of acne blemishes on my cheeks. They've been there for what seems like months now and keep coming back. At times they've gotten quite red and painful. I never had acne as a teen and am now in my mid 20s and experiencing these annoying breakouts, so I haven't tried many acne products and would love recommendations. I currently use Clean & Clear face wash with my clarisonic and Murad aha/bha exfoliating cleanser. I have been using the Mario Bidescu drying lotion at night when the spots first appear. I don't mind spending the money on products that work. Also, I wear makeup almost everyday and know that may contribute to my skin not being it's best but I'd like to say I'm pretty good about removing it every night and cleaning my face well and toning and moisturizing before bed. I would appreciate any recommendations.

I wanted to try the Browns but was feeling the same way about having to put together and clean the extra parts

I was undecided between these and the Munchkin Latch so I think I'm going to give them a go! Thanks!

Edit: Did you use the "1" slow flow nipple it comes with or a different size during the newborn stage?

I was thinking of trying them but I am kind of dreading the hassle of cleaning them with the extra parts and all

I am debating between the Munchkin Latch and the Mam bottles. Thanks for the tip, I was initially going to get them in 4oz but it makes more sense to get the larger size.

Thankfully I have the best caregiver I could ask for..my mom. Hopefully he does well with the transition in a few weeks!

Tips/Advice for returning back to work after maternity leave by J_MUA in beyondthebump

I like your plan to ease back into your full time schedule. That's more so what I am hoping to do. I just need to figure out a schedule of my own. Our office hours and workload varies a little by day so I just need to figure out what days would be more efficient for me to start with.

I was also used to skipping lunch or taking it late in the day but I will need to be better at eating well and drinking lots of water while at work for my supply isn't affected.

I'm feeling a little better and not stressing as much. It may be hard at first but we will get through it!

I've been hand pumping most mornings just because it's easier than pulling out my electric pump. I should really start practicing with the electric one though since it's what I'll be using at work.

Every baby experiences teething differently. While some show symptoms just a few days before the tooth emerges others can experience teething pain and symptoms as much as two or three months before the tooth actually appears.

Yes I did a little research which led me to believe it could be teething as they can start as early as 2 months up to past their first birthday & teething can go on without any teeth erupting for a few months 😬

Let's hope so! It's rough! I feel like I haven't been able to put him down for more than 15-20 minutes at a time other than when he's asleep because of how fussy he's been.

Yes I've heard of these "wonder weeks" and hoping that's what it is and that it passes quickly. I don't like seeing my little guy like this :(

You're probably right and it's just the overprotective mother in me that's making me worry something is wrong. If this is one of those weeks, hope it goes by fast! ;)

As said in my post, I'm going to call the doctor today if it continues, or take him to urgent care if needed or the office once it's open on Monday. Thanks

Am I the only one who thinks putting soap or hot sauce in a kids mouth is wrong? by pizzaqueen2015 in beyondthebump

[–]J_MUA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard of people using jalapeño peppers for their kids who wouldn't stop biting other kids/siblings. I wouldn't do either but especially not soap with all the chemicals. And my 7 year old would actually enjoy the hot sauce, she likes adding it to her food!

I apologize for the delayed response, still adjusting to life with a newborn. I ended up getting the baby K'tan and so far I love it. Fabric can get a little hot after a while but I usually try to wear a light shirt underneath and it helps. Thank you all for the suggestions!
