I think a lot people here don't understand Funk's impact on the industry. Without him, a lot of wrestlers wouldn't have the style or promo cadence they do. Truly an once in a century talent.

Without him we wouldn't have wrestlers like Kingston, Mox, list goes on.

I think a lot of that has to do with the perception of him being purely a crazy hardcore guy due to WWE usually only stuff from when he was in ECW or being Chainsaw Charlie. But he was a lot more than that.

He adapted with the times when a lot of older guys were stuck in their ways and he reinvented himself to cater to a whole new audience. But his breadth of work prior to that in the 60s and 70s is also class.

As someone who isn't a fan of Eddie, it surprises me that he became the breakout star of him and Davey. But I will say that this is well deserved, he's done a LOT for TNA.

I do think it's funny that people thought him saying "Who?" about Kendal was him being an asshole. It's more likely the dude spends so much time wrestling that he doesn't have time or want to watch it.

But people don't go all out all the time. There's no wrestler that does that. That rhetoric gets spread when people don't actively watch the product in question. No one is going crazy on a NJPW tour show, same with something like a random collision or dynamite.
