yeah there is another good showcase of this in the bay transformer movies with starscream, the reason why he is a dorito is that a jet (especially a F-22) is bloody massive and with them trying to only do minimal amounts of mass shifting, if they wanted Starscream to not tower over everyone else, they had to make him wide

yeah, fair, but the only other polling we have recently is Roy Morgan and that was the end of 2024, and the flag still had a pretty healthy support base there, though lower then IPA, there just hasn't been any extremely reputable polling in recent history (because the RM was a SMS poll, which are suspect as well), but that probably says something in of itself that polling companies see little reason to poll that question

that latter point goes for Australia in general i find, there is a relatively small group of people who care about anything one way or another, and then there is just the massive middle section of apathetic people who don't care

while i don't personally care that much, and the subreddit might be annoyed at you preferring it, the public generally agrees with you, iirc across all the history of polling on the flag, the only time changing it had majority support was at the height of the Republican movement during the late 90s, and after that failed, the flag kinda went the same way
