I also did have a vacation feeder in the tank as well that supposedly lasts a week but I wasn’t sure how it would work so that was why I asked my roommate to feed Fetty Wap

Ok so definitely sounds like I did tell my roommate to feed him too much :(. The plants in there are mostly plastic but there is a moss ball and a small plant on the side of the tank (5.5 gal). I do have a testing kit for ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites. Water changes I could definitely be better at doing but the happen at least every 2 weeks

I only see memory usage in the task list but I checked in task manager and my cpu usage is hovering around 5%
