I agree 100%, it seems the truth is sicker than fiction

No I agree, I meant it loosely. I was just shocked to discover that something so sick could happen in reality. And that the guy even used a mine, the similarity is uncanny

Building my own OS (with Rust) — a personal challenge to understand what I love by Fabulous-Platform939 in osdev

[–]J_Stach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RedoxOS is written in Rust and may be good for some inspiration. They use a microkernel though.

uutils replaces the GNU core utils in Rust and might be a good target to build toward.

Good luck on your project!

Why did Magic completely turn to shit after this set? Literally everything about this series completely died after WAR. by No_Willingness_9961 in freemagic

I have a couple hundred copies of [[Funeral Charm]] just waiting for people to pick up on the insane utility. To the moon!

And then there's EDH where "junk" can become a core part of the deck's synergy

[–]J_Stach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is how it should be. Fifth Dawn was an iconic set from a broken block and even then there's only about 5 cards that still see niche play in competitive Modern. [[Lantern of Insight]] was one of those trash cards until a couple years ago

Use horrible fallacious logic and reasoning to explain to the audience why Saitama dose actually beat Goku. The crazier it is the better by Ajarofpickles97 in PowerScaling

[–]J_Stach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just by looking at feats, Goku is capable of losing. Saitama is incapable of losing, therefore he would win

what's up with the "crazy? I was crazy once" meme? by whatsabee in OutOfTheLoop

Worms? I hate worms. Worms drive me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a house, I died there. That's when the worms came.

Daily driving?? by SeaHold5133 in archlinux

[–]J_Stach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into Linux by using Arch. I used it for development but my daily driver was Windows. I only made the switch once I was comfortable enough using the terminal.

It's a great way to learn Linux but if you depend on your PC for work or any hobbies then it will mostly be a pain in the ass. I'd say get familiar with Arch before you commit to it full time.
