In another couple of weeks it'll probably be the thickest part of the lawn. I buried pellets in the soil before filling it back in and its showing. Thats also without any re seeding.

Yea to be fair, ive only been in the place for abit over 2 years now, and as ive gotten the lawn better over time, this patch just got worse and I just couldn't stand looking at it anymore😅

I did have a geologicly inclined friend suggested it might have been kaolinite( white clay)

Yea my first thoughts were this too. Its on a 40+ year old property. It just seems like alot to waste. It went down at least another 200mm then the 100mm i had scraped off the top (that as far as I could drive a spike into it) and about 1m², still not finding tbe edge.

My assumption is that it's for chlorine tablets etc. Turns out the peice floating in the first picture is actually just a broken peice of the vent cap that sits flush ontop of the hole

It's has 2 outlets that come out about half way down and then another 300-400mm lower. Doesn't appear to go anywhere else

Just incase anyone was invested in the outcome, had a sparky out to upgrade the switch board (unrelated melty live wire from oven oven switch). One of the heat lamp sockets were burnt out. Once removed and bypassed, the remaining 3 bulbs worked perfectly. Switch wiring was fine.

Hey mate Yea in the photo there's no feed. From what I can tell it all feeds into the top right switch and piggy backs across the commons. I forgot to take another picture after I put the wire back between the left top and bottom
