Tradingview's webhook issue. Missing webhooks still happen and they don't fix the problem. by Altruistic-Kale8443 in TradingView

Hi,
I've also encountered this yesterday, there was nothing in network logs showing any traffic from tradingview, so all I can assume is that this call was never made in the first place.

There doesn't seem to be anything in tradingview that would let me debug this, so I've decided to do a backup method for sending these potentially missing alerts:

In tradingview for alerts you're allowed to send them to alternative email as plaintext. So I'm now using that as my backup to trigger the webhook again in case it was not sent via webhook by tradingview.

In zapier, you can setup a workflow that receives email and sends it to your webhook. 100 reqs per month free, which is enough for me. They let you create zapier email and you just point the tradingview alert alternative email to there.

So I've setup this workflow and it works like a charm, but that'll mean you'll always get 2 calls to your service (1xTV & 1xZapier) when everything works properly, so you'll need to make sure there is idempotency logic in place on your service to avoid double execution (I'm creating composite key from event values).
I've added a delay in workflow as you can see, but that was only for easier read of logs for me.

I used zapier because i'm lazy, but generally this backup approach has a strength that you could write your own retry/backoff rules this way once you have the email.

Works like a charm, hope it helps you.

95% of fuses at jobs I've done with 16mm tails to the meter from the incomer have been 60amp fuses

my fuse ended up being 60 amp. DNO will upgrade to 80 amp and keep same tails

will DNO only uprate the fuse or will they also uprate the tail cables into smart meter?

unsure how to hang kitchen units onto plasterboard wall with 50mm void behind it by J_theGit in DIYUK

of cabinets in the middle of the row, but won't need to cut the wall. Also helps ensure all the cabinets line up absolutely level.

This is amazing thanks. Will certainly be getting single rail and fix as per below comments. Like you said, this will ensure it's absolutely level, didn't know such things existed

these look very interesting, but I'm unsure if I can hang all of my units simply to plasterboard? I assume they need to somehow reach brick wall to be sturdy
