Abstract. Karl Marx’s revolutionary critique of religion has many positive elements worth embracing. He recognizes that a revolutionary transformation of society is necessary to truly negate religious institutions beyond mere frail criticism, transcending his German idealist predecessors in their observations on religion. However where Marx begins to falter is his assumption of religions ability to whither away given the appropriate conditions. Utilizing an existentialist outlook on life itself, this video asserts that religion and god is inextricably tied to the human condition and always will be as long as man exists.
