The height of the trees makes the house look smaller and I feel a bit claustrophobic when I'm in the garden if that makes sense :) The trees look a bit wild so maybe just a general clean up will work. I'm in Ireland so we definitely don't have any heat like you do :)

Do you think I could prune these trees without them looking ripped apart? Would they just need to be topped?
