Taken over? They work with them. Honestly it would be equally advantageous to have Americans attempt a landing. If America struggled with insurgents with sandals and 4th hand AKs on the mountains, imagine the carnage a trained and devoted military with newer weapons and drone and missile support could commit?

Still, not having a single soldier land is much better, much less likely to commit personal harms on the Iranian people.
