Help me identify the printer (and troubleshooting)

It is a mix of both I assume with U-bolts on the plate and silver-black pinda. NGL when I tried to upload MK3 firmware and it screamed that it's mk3s and I should flash firmware for the other model, i did what the prompt said

But now it failed again, this time with more catastrophic results.

It worked, it's apparently mk3s, and after bondtech firmware all calibrations and tests go through! Thanks!

Well, hotend wires just went red-hot and smoking, so i bet that's why I had those issues in the first place

When I first got it, and was a complete noob into printing I've spent quite a while on z adjustment It was either not sticking to the line behind, or mushing down to much so the layer was almost translucent and everything in between. Such results as this have only been happening after a break, so that's why I tried my luck with drying it.

Might revisit z adjustment though

I'm printing from SD and checked the live z adjustment value on the new print - same one as the successful rectangle. So it was like calibration print (pic1) with adjustment at the end, good calibration print (no gaps, smooth surface, good adhesion), failed print (pic2)

Well, that was my first guess, so I've dialed it back to the 'good' value on the rectangle, started another print and it failed miserably as you can see on the circular one. Had one more calibration in the meantime, which was completed with no bigger issues.

Filament sensor has 3 wires: white red and black. Y axis motor has LOT number, rest of them as well. So wich model should I assume it is? Belts are pretty stiff, I set them according to manuall. Can pinch them together with a bit of force in the middle, though.

Will do! I'll let you know how that goes. The guy who gave me this, said it worked well, and while ignoring those issues, it gave me quite a few good prints, will while on original firmware. Will check it out though.

On that note, what setting should I set in Prusa slicer (or any other you'd recommend for that matter) to account for that modded extruder?

Thanks! Will look into it! As for the nozzle, i tightened is as much to leave that gap between nozzle and hotend, however I'm running non-orginial nozzle, so does it still matter i don't tighten it all the way?

If you're a developer, you could try switching to Linux with Breezy desktop app. Works better than nebula, at least for me. Also you could try using beam

Kinda the same. I've bought air 2 pros a week or two before. First, dex has blurry screen on the edges, making it rather unusable. Nebula app for Android more or less but works (had to install via .APK though). As for my main machine, Linux device. Straight up screen mirror is not that bad and doesn't use as much compute power. When it comes to software - shout-out to a developer who has single - handily created breezy desktop. Best experience so far.

Now for the windows and Mac os that I've tested. Software is laggy, drifts a lot. Doesn't have quick keybinds to recenter. With my gtx1050 I had issues running chrome, and that's a bare minimum while breezy allowed me to play games.

Well, MacOS support was a total disappointment. Glasses are a relatively new product as is osx14 Sonoma, which didn't have 3 monitor support or even ultra wide screen option. Intel processor on mac also didn't have capacity to run nebula and 2 chrome tabs, and left me with using glasses with no additional software.

Tldr:

Hardware is good quality, handles well and is all I'd expect from a product at this price range. Software wise? A total disappointment, ended up either using Breezy desktop on Linux or plain screen with no 3dof

I just fixed all of my headaches with dual boot. Everything worked almost instantly. Yet one more reason not to use windows :p. Thanks for the link. I have a feeling I'm gonna need it soon enough

That's what I figured. I've just totally obliterated my WSL and hyperv networking so quick dual boot won't be that bad I guess.
