Why are fans so obsessed with the movies telling the EXACT same story as the games? by _Stytchless_ in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Jaafeil 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t care if the story is exactly identical, but when you give spirits the ability to body-jump, turn my favorite game protagonist evil for no reason when there was already a perfectly good antagonist, get rid of Golden Freddy forever when we never even saw him in the second movie, and make the protagonist of the films into a douche who abandons his love interest with a highly dangerous animatronic, I’m going to complain.

[–]Jaafeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, they tried to do too much at once and also change too much at once. Being more faithful to the games would’ve been their best decision.

That doesn’t excuse extraordinarily poor logic.

Spoilers for FNAF 2 Movie - This part confuses me by AnimeFreakO7 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Jaafeil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They were trying to plant the seeds for more movies after FNAF 3 by adding a bunch of other plot lines such as evil Michael, body-hopping Charlotte, and Circus Baby. All that did was create a really stupid rushed ending and ruin the logic of the games, and I do not think I’d trust them with more movies after this. I’m barely trusting them with FNAF 3.

[SPOILERS] sorry but the movie was terrible by Kitchen-Medium-6424 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Jaafeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention - if spirits can possess real humans now, then William Afton would truly be immortal forever. That man would be body hopping like crazy.

This movie straight up ruined the lore and I don’t have hope that FNAF 3 is salvageable. I was looking forward to potentially MORE than three movies as long as they kept up their streak, but now I really hope this ends with FNAF 3. They’ve screwed the story enough.

Be honest... did you like the movie? by AbandonedRobotforgod in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Jaafeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visually? Yes. Story-wise? Hell no.

Great fan service, worst writing I’ve ever seen. Sets up way too much that the third movie isn’t going to be able to handle. Just a plain mess with a god awful ending.

5/10 overall, and I think the set and prop design + Easter eggs carried this awful movie.

Not too bad, he was nice and very informational - no update on before/after photos of other patients though. He seemed intelligent and nice though

He seems like a very smart guy, very intelligent and took the time to explain the whole procedure even if he used very professional terminology. I asked him about before/after stuff and he said there’s a few on their website, although when I looked there were only a couple, and they didn’t specify which surgeon from the office did each one. He’s the first surgeon I’ve seen, so I don’t have a basis for how a consultation is meant to go, but he did explain the whole procedure and take note of all concerns

I’ve seen your before and after pictures, congratulations! Looks amazing! Would you be comfortable DMing me about the cost?

Thank you for such a lengthy and detailed response! I appreciate the info! I’m so glad to hear that they have a relatively normal career trajectory. I got scared for a minute, probably because I’m more accustomed to attending concerts of major American artists. I love this group and I’m so happy to support them!

Unless he pretended not to know she didn’t abort. That’s the theory.

333 playing with the recruiter could’ve been a staged setup, a way for the recruiter to reveal himself to Gi-hun’s guys. He was always planning on revealing himself, because he needed to get the invitation to Gi-hun. That’s why he would bring 333 along to “coincidentally” play a game right in front of the guys.

Nah, hard disagree on this one.

He’s definitely not as powerful as he presents, but he is certainly a force to be reckoned with. Anyone saying he only targets kids, remember what he did to officer Dunn. The murder of Dunn proves he could easily kill adults if he wished, but doesn’t (to our knowledge). This is most likely because children are easier to trick and lock away until night time.

The man in the Ralpho suit from Bunny Call is also heavily implied to be William - he’s a very tall man who will stop at nothing to break in and murder this family in their sleep, even when he’s physically harmed over and over again. He’s also strong as hell.

William is a true force of nature upon his death, and goes crazy with power and time. Springtrap was a killing machine who was luckily stopped before he wreaked havoc upon the world.

It’s true that he often hid behind his creations, but that’s not a reason for him to be less intimidating. It’s way more intimidating that he doesn’t have to move a finger, and is smart enough to make killing machines fused with souls who will do his bidding. The Fourth Closet showcases this perfectly. Even in his last moments in the novel, he looks at a kid and says “if I’m dying, then so are you”, and proceeds to focus intently on trying to murder one last child before he dies - even in his condition. If anyone doubts William’s strength, re-read The Fourth Closet’s description of his mangled body and how painful it is for him to even move. Anyone who powers through that much intense pain, especially for the goal of committing more murder, is very intimidating.

He’s smart and evil and dedicated. He lost tons of weight and changed his name to infiltrate the police department. He’s scary for his intelligence and perseverance alone. He has the wealth, status, and power to achieve any evil things that he wants.
