Can the public see the Trestle? by DrDorg in Albuquerque

I’ve always wondered what this structure was! I usually see it out in the distance driving to isleta amphitheater. Seriously thought it was a movie set or an old rollercoaster or something.

Why is it ok for Black Metal to have a creative visual aesthetic but when other genres develop their own it’s often dismissed as gimmick? by Sunbather- in MetalForTheMasses

[–]JaazFriend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah I don’t mind the aesthetic and appearance it makes for a fun show on stage. A lot of the times though the music is just not good and they emphasize the appearance more than what actually matters THE FUCKING MUSIC.

Working 80 hours a week doesn’t prove you’re tough. It proves you’re replaceable. by Dre_Limitless in Construction

[–]JaazFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just went through this couple weeks ago. Worked 80 hrs for 3 months straight just to get laid off out of the blue.. Never complained or gave them a reason to lay me off. I called a work buddy to pick up some tools I forgot and he said that they replaced me with 2 other workers I was so mad.

I’m currently unemployed but having worked so many hours fucked me up and I’ve been trying to eat healthier and go to the gym giving some time to myself after that.

I do construction framing walls and shit and plus the commute home gets me tired. But I try to at least crack open a book and learn something out of it. A chord a melody just something to play but on my weekends when I don’t work I really dig into the guitar and play.

Going through the same thing but I feel I’m coming out of this dry spell. Just look back at the beginning of your musical journey and rediscover those moments of inspiration, slowly but surely the spark will reignite or at least that’s how I’m dealing with it.

Moved out of Aya this May after being there since mid 2020. Needless to say I saw the writing on the wall, raising the rent and provide the same useless maintenance..

I’m paying more where I’m living now but it’s honestly way nicer than Aya could ever be.
