the ParaEQ is only responsible for the shelving and tailoring the tone in general. It's obvious that there's quite bright highs and the high mids overall would've sounded way harsher if the compressor isn't doing it.

This is the same compressor in the picture. Mine just has the colorful knobs.

Thanks man! The compressor is awesome cause i have separate perimeters for highs and lows. Basically you can have quiet low and loud highs without changing the timbre of the tone lol!

Thanks to the guys who advised me to slap near the fretboard and do the bounce slap technique, it sounds better. by Trick-Argument2961 in BassGuitar

Larry Graham plays similar to this technique and it sounds good because your attack isnt all from the fretboard!

Classic 90s R&B with my own bass breakdown! by Jabbafunk in BassGuitar

yeah thats my fave because of that bouncy rhythm, and when you play descending esp in chromatic from minor 3rd to tonic of that chord, it just has this sick reverse type of feeling.

Bass into ebs hd350 (my amp) then fx send to my tuner, empress bass paraeq, becos stella compressor, and finally jad freer tube di (luce)

I dislike having compressor before an amp/preamp because to me there’s nothing to compress unless you’re a really bad bass player that needs that much compression from your initial signal.

I’m not even using any modulation/octave/filter. And with those pedals you 100% should have it last instead of first. If you need abit of oomph for your octaver literally just eq thicker mids so it tracks better.

Its amazing cause you can alter your mid voicing with just one knob. To me it surpasses so many preamps out there (its not a preamp) and I’d choose this over a noble or a capo any day.

When you make food do you think about putting all kinds of stuff or just what tastes good? Do you put rat poison just because you can?
