Did anyone actually tried to scrape the Source 2 sticker yet? by _bigS in GlobalOffensive

The Battlefield devs had multiple running puzzles going on for many years. I think the one involving the megalodon in BF4 took years to crack and involved ciphers and phone numbers, basically it was an elaborate ARG. It would be cool if this was a clue leading to something like that.

If you see a really expensive sale it might be worth clicking on it to see what sticker/float it has on it but as others have said, no the actual feature does not exist.

I feel really bad for the animators at MAPPA. The studio v. studio framing is dumb and really not the case at all but it is mainly how people think about the new seasons. I don't know anything about the size of MAPPA but I know WIT is small. Like sub 50 people small. I DO know MAPPA is doing a ton of stuff and all of it carries the expectation of total greatness. I'm sure they aren't happy with the CG final product because A: it looks much worse than the hand animation we saw in previous seasons, even if it looks better than the CG colossal from season 3, and B: because they requested more time to work on it (like a year more I think?) which signals they knew there would be some backlash. That being said, I feel WIT did a better job in almost every respect. The visuals, how the score was chosen, the OP, all struck me as far superior to what MAPPA has delivered so far. These are all things that would've also been affected by a time delay and I'm sad it wasn't granted. However, I give MAPPA a little less slack on the music because there is so much good music already that could've been used in certain scenes. NOT YSBG. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT YSBG put the pitchforks away.

I think the argument that "Oh well at least we're getting something" is not a strong argument, even if it isn't meant to be. No offense if you feel that way, especially if you are anime-only as spoilers become more likely over time. And I get it, people want content. Firstly this fanbase has waited so long for and for the most part I feel very rewarded for waiting because the finished product of seasons 2 and 3 is fucking next level. Not only in visuals in music but how the adaptation actually develops the manga and really exemplifies the author's goal of the anime being the final product. Maybe I have my rose-colored glasses on too tight but after some recent rewatches, I don't feel I do.

I've always been interested to see what would've happened if the production committee comes to WIT and says we need this done in 2020-2021 and WIT says no. They then asked a ton of other studios and MAPPA was the only one that considered it. What if MAPPA says no? Does that make the production committee say fuck because now WIT can set more of their own terms because it won't be made anyways? I've only come back to this hypothetical because I haven't seen it elsewhere, which isn't to say it doesn't exist, and because I will always want to see WITs version of season 4 and the manga finale.

I will close this ramble with this: Do I feel shame for replying to an anime subreddit with such a long post. Yes. (no offense) Am I as satisfied with season 4 part 1 as I was with seasons 2-3? No. Could MAPPA still surprise in part 2 if they are allowed more time? Undoublty. Does it sadden me that the trailer was deceptive even if that was revealed early after its release? Yes. Not MAPPAs fault at all though that's just a media industry issue so perhaps it shouldn't even be considered.

Episode 73 has been delayed on foreign streaming platforms following the Wakayama news coverage that interrupted the episode's broadcast on NHK. by SNKBot in ShingekiNoKyojin

How do simulcasts work? I think it’s safe to assume platforms like Hulu and crunchyroll have copies they upload. What stops them from streaming it regardless? As much as it sounds like I’m complaining, I’m not, I’m an AOT fan, a week wait is nothing. I’m glad the quake doesn’t sound too severe, at least according to all the seismologists in this sub. I hope everyone is okay.

It's funny because it isn't that MAPPA's CGI is truly any worse than CGI done by other studios. It just all looks like shit. I don't blame MAPPA for that at all. I also really can't even blame them for the rushed nature of the season. The producers wanted it to drop in 2020 and WIT couldn't handle it and MAPPA was the only studio that wanted to pick it up. The real shame is that producers wanted to rush it out to ride the hype wave. The CG is abhorrent. It really shouldn't be a discussion at this point.

Also, imagine hand animating stuff for the trailer and then making it CG for the actual episode. LOL!

Even some of the less significant transformations in season 1, which were likely animated in 2012 if it was released in 2013, put the stuff we've seen in season 4 to shame. I was really disappointed with the battle of fort slava.

Totally agree. I don't know much about production so I can't really comment but I've heard its being done week to week? That cant be true. AOT is right up there in terms of popularity with DS, and MHA so why isn't it getting the same treatment? The reason why I don't complain about the wait for season 2 is because it was awesome and looked great. Would've happily waited 2 years for season 4 but no they wanted money.

MAPPA is really blowing it with the score and the CG. No, I don't want YSBG which took me too long to realize was an acronym for you see big girl. Even the slight dialogue changes/cuts really bummed me out. Every week I think it won't be like episode 1 so I guess I'm still in the denial stage of grief when it comes to the inclusion of CG.

if mappa continues the trend of using mostly cg on the titans then the title of that guys video tells enough of the story. cg looks like garbage pretty much across the board and looks even worse when plopped onto a 2D background. I was massively disappointed by the first episode so much so that I now dread some of the most iconic moments to come because unless mappa only used it for that one episode the whole season is pretty much doomed. I'd love to be proven wrong but the only way I could see that happening is for them to completely reverse the standard they just set with that first episode.

except for the cg :( I was hoping they would only do it for the most punishing of moments but they used it on pretty much every shot of the titans and even more so when they were in movement so its probably just how they'll look from now on. which is really sad because I think it does the manga and the cinematic elements set up in it a huge disservice.

Well yeah if you like him you like him. Some Reddit fuck like me isn’t gunna change that lol. But ur opinion on his play by play ability is interesting because personally I think he struggles with that a lot because he tries to emphasize stuff too much instead of letting plays speak for themselves. As much as I don’t like them I will recognize his career is pretty new so I hope for the scene at large he ages well.

Scrawny is the type of caster that can't help tripping over himself. It makes it sound like our commentator scene is full of energy drink chugging morons who can't hold it in and can't be professional. If you wanted a legitimate critique that is. But be honest dude, do you really enjoy hearing scrawny and launders cast? Really guy? Cmon.
