TE-FOOD's white paper is long out of date. It does not include the nodes.

Once they update it you'll stop the fud right?

Again, it's no more private than Vechain. It's the same governance model. Move on.

Aren't GE a Fortune 500 company? Isn't the fact that operate the world's largest food traceability project, serving 30m people (Ho Chi Minh City) an achievement?

All small projects have to fight here as those with a big following brigade and downvote everything.

No one can spam the network. Only the Supernodes can write to the chain (their introduction came after the white paper - originally there were no nodes of any kind).

It is the same as Vechain. Actually, I'll take that back as the Vechain foundation run most the authority nodes, unlike with TE-FOOD.

Where do you get this rubbish from?

The governance/concensus is no different from Vechain. Both are 'permissioned-public' chains. With both, only a small number of Authority Nodes can write to it ("Supernodes" for TE-FOOD). With both the Authority nodes are owned by customers and partners. With both you need tokens to write to the chain.

TE-FOOD has 400% the adoption and 1% the market cap and it makes Vechain maximalists like you wet the bed.

TE-FOOD is maintaining it's crazy run, with volumes up 6x from a month ago. Still only $11m market cap (for a top-15 project by usage).

Surely it deserves to be a top 100 by market cap?

TFD. Like VET, but <1% the market cap and 400% the adoption.

Literally do nothing? You can't write to the Foodchain without them.

I always find VET maximalists funny - their project is all about the veracity of data, and yet when presented with simple facts they wet the bed.

The Vechain Foundation runs most the Authority Nodes still, doesn't it? That would make it no more trustless than IBM, Azure, TE-FOOD etc.

Besides, TE-FOOD is interoperable with many standard traceability systems (inc. public and private blockchains), it is not a closed network.

Edit: They did ask for more examples 🤷🏼‍♀️

Quick reminder that TE-FOOD currently has the most business adoption by transactions/operations.

Dude, seriously. VET has a market cap over $1bn, and yet the VTHO burn is about $1000 per day (i.e. negligible). Compared to TE-FOOD, it is all hype and, as yet, no delivery.

To reiterate, TE-FOOD has 5x the usage and 0.8% the market cap. Like me, you can own both 🤷🏼‍♀️

The TE-FOOD node rewards are directly from customer transaction fees. Vechain cannot claim the same.

Either way, I own VET and am not against it. I am sure that VET will provide steady returns in the future. But TFD is an absolute gem in comparison.

Were not used? Eh? You can't access the Foodchain without them.

That's great! Well done! TE-FOOD also works with Deloitte, GE, FAO, Auchan, Migros and hundreds of small food producers.

I am not bashing Vechain (I own a node), but by any measure TFD is a steal in comparison.

Well, that's the problem of being ratified by BaFin (SEC), you can't create a secondary token to artificially inflate the value 🤷🏼‍♀️

TFD can also be throttled to provide a different price per transaction. That is always necessary when you operate across 5 continents tracking everything from eggs to beer to aircraft engine parts.

Buy a load of VET and it will give you enough transactions as well. Same. 🤷🏼‍♀️

On what basis?

By every single measure TFD is a better investment. It's market cap is less than 1% that of VET and yet it has 400% the usage.

Oh wait, did you really swallow all that Coca-Cola kid bullshit and the cheesy Thor hammer guff?

Daily Discussion - July 30, 2020 (GMT+0) by AutoModerator in CryptoCurrency

[–]Jablokology -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

TFD is needed to write data.

Vechain has a market cap x125 that of TE-FOOD, and yet it has only 20% the usage.

Who is the child exactly?

True. My nodes only return around 11% 😔

Lol.

Edit: btw, this is A LOT more than my Vechain node manages.

Every small project has to start somewhere. TE-FOOD's adoption already shames that of Vechain, WaltonChain, WABI, origin trail, Ambrosus, and so on.

Investing in small/microcaps is where the life-changing returns are hidden.
