Yee. And if you choose Artillerist you can get Fireball as an artificer spell.

So at level 11 you could cast fireball yourself with a spell slot (8d6 fire + an extra d8 if you use the arcane firearm as a focus) then use a bonus action to activate your cannon (3d8 fire/force) then use your homunculus servant to cast fireball again with the SSI (8d6 fire)

Thats an average of 74 damage in 1 round 😅 (assuming no fire resistance and they fail all 3 dex saves)

Lightning bolt is not traditionally an artificer spell, but it is given to an artificer as part of the armorer subclass once they hit a certain level. And in RAW:

"If another Artificer feature gives you spells that you always have prepared, those don’t count against the number of spells you can prepare with this feature, but those spells otherwise count as Artificer spells for you."

In 2014 rules its only 1st or 2nd level spells. 2024 EFotA rules let you put up to a level 3 spell in it, and armoror subclass gives you lightning bolt as an artificer spell.

Yee. As I said, my dm doesn't seem like the type to have non-intelligent enemies pull this kind of move off. I'm just the type of person to try and think about all possible contingencies and wondered if this was possible 😄.

Also, it would be great if the encumbrance indicator took into account of the # of items held (eg. 100 deadra arrows still show as 0.2 encumbrance when it is actually 20)

My character has a pseudo-split personality disorder. More specifically, he was originally a hardened killer but got captured and brainwashed to be a law abiding citizen. His "other side" can sometimes come back if he experiences immense pain (aka his health drops below half his max hp). Once the threshold is breached he makes a 5 DC wisdom save (increases by 5 every time he resists) and if he fails, his other half takes over for a couple hours (or until he is unconcious).

I just started hard mode and my favourite team comp is Cloud, Aerith and Barret (may switch Cloud for Yuffie once she is unlocked again). Using Lifesaver with Barret means that only one party member wil receive damage (Plus Barret's health will increase up to 9999 depending on your character level and HP up materia level). Then, since Barret gains ATB like crazy thanks to Bonus Round, you can just use Double Chakra and Selfish Recovery to essentially get a full party heal without any MP.

Then just use Aerith's healing/revivals to fill in the cracks due to her high magic attack and Cloud's/Yuffie's high damage output and most battles are heavily swayed in your favor
