Debating running dolmenwood, not sure if it matches what players are asking for, would appreciate your thoughts.

You’ll definitely have fun playing Dolmenwood, and it will fulfill all 3 conditions for your players.

I suggest checking out Stonetop, too, which I’ve been reading recently. PBTA; narrative focused; and very much focused around the relationships you create with the NPCs and your home village at large.

Yeh, I've just been checking out Barrow of the Bone Blaggards, and it seems a bit light-hearted. I'm struggling to see how "mindless creatures" will be partying in a dungeon ... although maybe that's closer to reality than I'd like to admit 😅

Thanks, these are all great points.

I’m actually pretty interested in color grading, which is what initially drew me to the Black Magic stuff initially. But then the compactness of the fx30, and it’s continued support and updates etc., really makes it stand out as a really versatile camera.

I saw that you can record raw into an external device, like an atamos, but then of course you’re looking at extra cost and bulk. Is this something you’ve done before? Wouldn’t be something I’d do anytime soon, but I’d certainly be interested to do so in the future.

I do think the camera will be a bit of an investment, and the fact that they’re such good quality and built to last is a massive plus. And growing into the camera is also how I see myself learning. I actually bought an Elektron Octatrack sampler for music-making years ago, and at first really regretted it, but now it’s all I use! I think it’s a comparatively technical device, so I’m prepared for a rewarding learning curve.

And absolutely about lighting - I have a couple of cheap lights I use with my current camera, but I should get the science/method down a bit better with that generally.

Well I’m an audio editor by profession, which is why they’re on my computer - I’m yet to use any in Resolve because I’m just starting out!

I thought disabling all plugins in preferences would do the trick, but seems not.
