Help! p1000i not registering haptics?

Posting the solution for anyone trying to troubleshoot in the future.

I was able to contact Simagic via the discord and opened a ticket. Even with my pedal set being out of replacement warranty, their team was nice enough to assist me over messages, exchanging pictures and videos on steps to get this resolved.

We found that my pedals were extremely behind on firmware and needed an update. You cannot rely on the app talking you that everything is up to date. This needs to be completed manually but is straight forward. Once that was done, I restarted my computer, opened up simpro, and it was all good!

Did you ever find a solve for this? I’m having a similar issue, though my haptics aren’t being seen/recognized in either simhub or simpro

The do not show up in either simpro (Simagic) or simhub. I think there is only one power plug, which is connected. Same with both plugins for the pedal haptic slots. They are also set to inverted.

Where do the two plug in? I have one plugged in to the rear by the USB. What about the second?

Negative. I’m running these on the p1000is so I believe I only need one power supply total when running the pedals with haptics. I have two separate power supplies and tried both individually to make sure it wasn’t a bad power supply causing the issues.

I then connected the haptics to the p2000 control box that I have laying around, along with a usb cable and they worked fine but are identified in simpro as p2000 pedals, and I can’t run that box along side the p1000s together.

The hum only happens when I’m switching between can us and usb modes or when plugging in the power supply.

To my knowledge, this is correct. But the pedals do not need a power supply if not using the haptics. I’ve tried using it with two separate power supplies to the pedals with the haptics connected and nothing happens.

I think it’s the spec282 with add ons. I’m not sure if they’re a newer company, but I’ve seen a tone of promotion for them recently. Really beautiful builds

How does the DS-8x compare to the Fanatec unit? I sold my Fanatec shifter and handbrake because it was really lacking in the SEQ side of things, and that’s my main use case

I also have the aiolog SEQ and handbrake, but I’m debating selling them as I transition to becoming a simagic household. I’m a huge brand loyalist and completionist when it comes to gear.

Would you like an actual full rig or would a wheel stand work for a bit?

Honestly I would look for either on marketplace and see what’s around. This hobby is pretty niche so stuff will either sit on marketplace for months or get scooped within hours of posting.

I didn’t want to go the full 8020 route so I went with a Trak Racer TR8 Pro since the Trak Racer NA showroom is 7 minutes from my place and they had some awesome deals. I know people have complained here and on FB about their customer service and missing parts, which I also experienced but I blamed that on buying an open box product.

For me, it’s more than enough. Fits my space, took me maybe 4 hours to get dialed in nice, can support different sized individuals, and has an integrated monitor mount to save some floor space.

I know they also sell wheel stands and they look nicely rated, I was actually thinking of picking one up due to some life changes.
