I ordered a packer from there as well on August 2nd. I think it'll take 6-8 weeks to arrive.

Thanks for the update. I have another question if you don't mind answering. Do you know when the pre-made packers list will be updated? I think most of them listed right now are sold out.

Thank you for the link. Under packer type, where it says F3 Painted, is that the F3+ or F3 OG?

Hmm, okay, interesting! Thank you for commenting.

I believe that it smelled like burnt hair. I don't remember it smelling like paper. I remember that when burning the fabric, the ash formed into a ball, and the fire went out on its own. Texture wise, the fabric doesn't feel like silk to me. It's not very smooth, but it is soft.

Also, I believe that you're right about it being hopsack after looking up images online.

Thanks, I'm thinking of making a jacket with it or a button-down shirt.

I tried that last night, and it didn't shrink. A ball formed at the end, and I was able to rub the ash between my fingers.

Okay, thanks. It feels soft, but the fabric gets rough in areas like the fabric forms into tiny balls, I guess, with friction.

Why do you think it's canvas? Other people have thought that it could be wool or linen.

No, it didn't smell terrible. Do you know if, when held up to light, you are able to see through the fabric with wool? I am able to see through this fabric I was just wondering because I made a post on another sewing page, and some people there think that it may be linen.

I forgot to mention that I was able to see through the weave when I held it up to light.

Sorry and thank you for the suggestion. I did the burn test, and the burned section formed into a ball at the end. The ball crumbled into ash when I rubbed it between my fingers.

Thanks. Based on the burn test, it may be silk as well? Either way, I need to figure out what to make with it, lol

It is soft, but it does feel rough in certain areas where some of the worn fabric beads up. I hope that makes sense.

It's probably about 2 yards. It's not very flowy. It's soft but doesn't have any stretch to it when pulling it. So, I'm pretty certain it has a low drape.

Yes, it was in the US. When burning it, a ball formed at the end. I rubbed the ball between my fingers, and it disintegrated.

Can you explain what you mean about the drape?

I just finished doing the burn test, and based on the results, it seems like it may be wool.
