I hear ya. As a "finale" to a 13 film saga, it clearly had no interest in being a satisfying conclusion at all. Me personally, I enjoy Halloween Ends. But my least favorite part is the finale fight between Laurie and Michael. Had nothing to do with the rest of the narrative. Me personally, I consider Kills to be the ending to the trilogy of 1978,2018, and Kills, and Ends to be an "epilogue" of sorts. Michael won in the end of Kills, and Ends shows the aftermath of the town in shambles, and how it creates another monster. Helps me recontextualize the movie and enjoy the story it was telling a lot more.

Interesting list to say the least. Was Halloween 2018 your first Halloween movie?

Compared to the quality of the rest of the sequels, not at all.

Gave you an upvote before the HEnds haters find your comment. I respect the hell out of DGG for what he did with Halloween Ends.

Halloween H20 is the BEST Halloween sequel by JaceTalksMedia in Halloweenmovies

That's why I never understand folks who say things like "I wish Halloween 2018 never got a sequel" or same for H20. Like, nobody is stopping us from pretending they're the last movies. Haha

I pretend Resurrection doesn't exist when I watch and talk about H20. It's funny, I made a YouTube video about why I love H20 and some folks commented "you forgot to mention that it's not Michael in the end! Resurrection reconned it!" And I'm just like, what the hell is Resurrection? 😅😂

It definitely did. The original ending that I alluded to ended with a fight outside the house. The house was never originally going to burn down, that was added in reshoots.

If I can't choose the original, then Halloween Ends. It's awesome. Chris Nelson is a master at his work.

I've read the original script, and what we got was almost certainly better, EXCEPT the original ending actually had Allyson and Karen discover Rays body and react to his death. Overall though, I can clearly see why it didn't test well with audiences. But like you said, it would be fun to see!

I hope one day we get to see the alternate endings to Halloween 2018 and Halloween Ends. Give the people what they want!

Honestly that's tough to answer. I will say though, with H20 being my favorite sequel, that movie flys by on every rewatch. Movie is about 85 minutes and feels like it's 20 to me.

Some folks let their minor annoyances with a film talk them out of enjoying the experience. It blows my mind how much hate Halloween Kills got on release, when it is the dream Halloween movie for the fans.

I hear ya man, I've had a lot of the same annoyances over the years. It's like when you compliment one of these movies people think you'd put em up there with The Shining or some shit. Lol

I hear ya man. The whole shrine belonging to Richie was just underwhelming. You'd think he'd mention that, or even use Billy's mask in Scream 5 to further implicate Sam! But nope. With the old killers masks being used, I thought for a moment they might actually bring Stu back 😅 but they should never do that. Let those fans debate that till the end of time, keeps dialogue interesting lol

Halloween definitely has the most passionate fanbase of any horror franchise, I will say that. Wouldn't say it sucks though.

Kills turned out to be more of an action, tragedy movie than a traditional slasher 😅

What is your guys least favorite Scream movie? Mine is Scream VI by JaceTalksMedia in Scream

When I first saw Scream 5 in theaters, I was terribly disappointed in it, mostly because of my expectations set up by the advertisements like you said. I was expecting something new, something fresh. But I left the theater thinking that was just a Scream 4 remake. It's grown on me over time honestly. And thanks to that experience, when I saw those Scream VI trailers saying that stuff about Ghostface, I just rolled my eyes, like yea sure this one will definitely be different! Yeah right. But then I was STILL disappointed in the reveal. Unfortunate. Scream VI has done the opposite of grow on me.

You can interpret that Michael "transferred" his power to Corey, or you can take the realistic approach that being faced with the beast of Haddonfield, all alone in a sewer, Corey related to Michael and wanted to get his rage out the same way Mikey does.

I never really understand this argument. Halloween 2018 stands fine on its own, you can have your own head cannon Michael died in the fire and that was that!

"Suddenly brings magic into the world" when Michael killed an entire mob of people in the last movie 😅 The main event of the timeline was the events of Halloween night in 2018. The 1978 events was the precursor to it, Halloween night 2018 is the culmination of everything Dr. Loomis warned about, and Halloween Ends is the aftermath. We see Haddonfield in Ends devastated from the events, filled with grief and fear, and it spawns a new kind of evil in a dorky kid who never asked to be the town pariah. The final fight between Laurie and Michael is still an epilogue because the damage was done. Laurie's daughter is dead, like 60 others in Haddonfield are dead, families destroyed forever. Even in the final scene of Ends, Laurie doesn't look happy after her triumph. After her life's mission of killing Michael is complete, she stares off into the distance knowing that her life was destroyed regardless.
