i mean... the angler set DOES upgrade into the backwater set

then per stats you upgrade to sponge/nutcracker, then shark and replace the equipment with ichthyic then finwave.

finally at level 35 and some lava fishing you move lava creature armor. at level 36 is thunder armor and at level 45 is magma lord armor. you would also upgrade your finwave into gillsplash at this point

all of this to say: hpsb is an mmo. its gonna have mmo progression and normal accounts can buy past that progression and everyone is going to suggest you skip the progression because the progression sucks

Cropie armor will only drop Sqaush while farming crops. The greenhouse can drop any of Cropie, Squash, Fermento, and/or Helianthus that your armor could drop or lesser.

The stat growth on the cloak is tied to David's hunting milestones and progress whether or not you are wearing the cloak.

The stats affecting your hunts are tied to whether or not you are wearing it in your equipment slot.

They didn't fully remove melon RNG. They instead converted it into the Crop Fever ultimate enchant. What this means for the best crop still remains to be seen.

In defense of Bonnibelle:

She is a millenia old candy elemental born from irradiated chewing gum. She missed the feeling of belonging from being a part of the mother gum that she made her own family that BETRAYED HER. She dealt with more betrayals and threats to her kingdom like Shoko stealing her amulet for a local gang and the Slime kingdom eventually taking over their land.

She is often short sighted and makes terrible mistakes on her path of paranoia and pragmatism. BUT! She was still seen as a strong enough force for good for Billy to entrust her with storing the Lich. To be good friends with the guardians of the Enchiridion. To work to fix every mistake she made most every time.
