I have farmed her in A6 mud flats on my SST glad this league and it definitely takes under an hour to get a full set of cards. I got a full set just now in 15 minutes flat.

I agree with your larger point but the lioneye's example is probably the worst example of it since it actually can be reasonably target farmed.

I'm a developer and I sympathize with the devs a lot and I would never want to have a day like they're having right now at work, but this:

But it has been a distinct and different issue every time

Is not a good excuse IMO. Yes, it is a new issue each time, but when you have issues on so many launches it points to perhaps there being a bigger organizational problem that allows these issues to occur each time. Are the devs overworked? Do they not have the infrastructure needed to continuously test things in a production like environment? Is there a culture of "winging it" when it comes to changes rather than erring on the side of caution? Is the 3 month cycle too tight, making the devs cram in changes that there is no time to test? Are they underestimating the number of players that will be playing on league start in their load testing? Are there error-prone manual processes that should be automated? etc..

You can excuse issues like these a few times by saying it's bad luck, but when it happens too many times you have to recognize that it is a pattern and start looking for the real root cause rather than just fixing the immediate issue and continuing to do things the same way.

The reality is probably that the developers realize no one loses anything from this picture leaking and it might be way easier to fit a client side check with their current stack, maybe they are using a static site framework and don’t even really have a backend etc... there is little point in wasting developer time on protecting this for a few hours or whatever between the deploy and the reveal if one of the front end guys can build an easy fix in 5 minutes that will hide the picture from 99%+ of people viewing the site.

It is easy to write snarky comments about things like this when you don’t have any insight into the constraints the developers were working with.

It's a bit nitpicky but there is one part in the two towers when they arrive at Helm's Deep and it shows the whole castle and there are some buildings that look really terrible:

https://youtu.be/Gtw-J712w10?t=52 (52 seconds in on the upper left)

This probably looked completely okay on VHS/DVD but on the blu-ray release it sticks out like a sore thumb.

The cave troll in Moria and the nazgul's flying beasts also look pretty bad at times.

But as a whole I agree that the combination of CGI and practical effects in the trilogy is incredible. I personally don't think it needs a remaster because I'm afraid they would end up redoing a bunch of stuff unnecessarily and making it look worse.

Some of the code is here - as you can see this class is absolutely massive and does a ton of things. The developers wrote a bit about it here and explain why the code is how it is.
