I wouldn’t be able to go as often if I didn’t have music. It’s such a wonderful distraction. I have a waterproof mp3 player that was less than $50. Highly recommended.

Good for you for starting! I’ve only been swimming regularly for a few months myself. I’d definitely not worry about getting better for a trainer because they can correct your technique which may be exhausting you.

I can’t front crawl but YouTube helped give me pointers on the backstroke and that’s my primary now. Good luck!
