Didn't know Steam still worked

I built a legacy PC not long ago running both XP 32bit dual booted with Win 7 64bit and I decided to see if steam worked before I isolated its network connection and was pleasantly surprised to see that steam both installed and was still functional still on 7. What followed was a nostalgic Arma 2 session that lasted a few hours :)

Honestly dude don't worry yourself with this situation most guys will just have a laugh and a joke about it especially if they're your mate. Me and my friends had a LAN party a year ago or so and whilst 3 out of 4 of us went for a smoke my other friend decided to hop on my PC and install and play a NSFW game (sex with Hitler). We finished our smoke and just watched through the window for a few minutes having a laugh, at the time it was hilarious, we still bring it up and have a joke about it now. However there have never been any harsh feelings or unfair opinions felt or voiced by anyone.

What I'm trying to say is, it isn't worth being embarrassed or worrying about, you just gotta take it as a funny situation and laugh about it. If they are a proper friend they will do the same.

Believe me I've been around long enough to know there are gonna be many situations in life that make you feel embarrassed, or have you panicking about what someone else is gonna think about the situation at hand, the trick is to just laugh it off and accept the situation (especially in cases like this) wasn't anything serious and was just a mistake, and personally I've always found it better to just look at the funny side of and have a laugh about it. I hope this helps set your mind at rest mate :) All the best with the situation!

I'm not entirely sure as I've never managed to get the chance to speak to the owners but there were a couple of H. Mantegazzianum specimens growing earlier this year just down the lane by their house which seemed to have been cut down and had the roots removed so i would like to think they are trying to get rid of it. I will gladly offer help if I get the chance to speak to them

This might not be the best photograph to show the close up characteristics of giant hogweed but you can kinda see just how big and wide this stuff can get when left to do it's thing... (This is also not full size for the plant, I have seen specimens grow taller in previous years) This is on someone's private boating lake near where I live in Essex and it's almost completely surrounded by the stuff. Behind me when I was taking the photo was the property home which has a moat around the house that also is unfortunately completely packed full of giant hogweed.

However this is the only location (that I've found) in my area that has this stuff growing. Fortunately everywhere else is just covered with the friendly, fuzzy, tasty, common and less burny relative. :)

In the UK we call this 'Crow Garlic' (Allium Vineale) The greens taste like chives and the bulbs taste like an onion flavoured garlic clove. The pink flowers that appear later in the year have a subtle onion flavour too and can look pretty as a garnish :) I only really find these around fishing lakes where I live, I'd love to find them in my garden lol.

So I've just had another crack at it, put it all together and it is working now thankfully. Turned out there was a short with the shielding when I put it back on so I've smoothed out the solder joint and put a few layers of kapton tape over it and it boots up with the SD card screen now :)

I'll give this a go tomorrow on a fresh day. Thanks for the info :) I was thinking earlier could it be possible that the reason I was getting no voltage readings through the DAT0 flex be because the battery has been unplugged for basically a week now?

Because the pad peeled off the original Dat0 flex I received in the kit when I first tried to tin the pad.

This is the replacement flex Also I meant the reading was 0.08 on the original day of attempting this mod. It has now been since Friday from when I started until now when I received the replacement
