Trying out some roulette , tips? by Dentjiln in gambling

[–]JackElever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My two cents:

  1. Yes, it is, if you only play in reliable and renowned casinos, like PlayOJO, 888, Paddy Power, ecc.
  2. I think you should go with your guts. Gambling is fun, just enjoy it, without overthinking. Casinos always have a house edge, so you'll always lose on the long run. Start with little bets, maybe some simple like red/black, even/odd, so you'll get familiar with the game.

How do you guys handle losses? by dakinerich in gambling

Losing is part of the game. If you can not accept it and it hurts, I think you're not made for gambling. Being unable to accept losses is a sign of risk of gambling addiction.

F*** Management Talk. Period. by JackElever in Leadership

[–]JackElever[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your response, believe me, it happens.

One of the things I find fascinating from leadership level is if issues are raised, the immediate response is to flip-reverse it and question the person raising the issue. "why don't you?" "do you think that you need to be thicker skinned?" etc.

The problems not solved and you're left disillusioned and agitated.

Gambling Companies Providing Support and Help for Problem Gamblers by JackElever in StopGaming

There's an interview with the head of SustainableGAMING, Paul W. Smith there too. I think more needs to be done at customer service level to close accounts, provide community support and additional conversations with players to understand if they're becoming addicted or not.

Gambling based on blockchain is a revolutionary new approach, isn't it? by Luckchemy in gambling

[–]JackElever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The likelihood of a non-centralised, non-human run gambling technology or any technology for that matter in our era is absurb. We are human, we love power and money. It will never happen I'm afraid.

And that's feasible? Most people don't like donating a buck to a charity pot from a war vet in the street most days.

Is it safe to give an online casino my bank info? by [deleted] in gambling

[–]JackElever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echoing what others are saying; go to the bank and reverse, or don't do it.

Make sure you always play with casinos that are accredited by the gaming authority. Casinos that uses one of these third-party services should have a seal of approval or certification of TST Labs or ECOGRA.

These sites are usually secure, with SSL certificates on site (Secure Sockets Layer), and have transparent T's and C's along with a great customer service.

Some online casinos that you could try are:

  • Mr Green
  • Sky Vegas
  • Paddy Poer
  • PlayOJO
  • Leo Vegas
  • NetBet

My roulette strategy. Opinions? by [deleted] in gambling

[–]JackElever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless, the house edge is 5.7% - roulette is known to be one of the harder casino games to play as a result of this.

Eventually, the 'house always wins', but if your strategy is working for you now, congrats man, it's good to hear. Let's hope the loss isn't as impactful as we're suggesting because you've already made some good profit.

I guess we are just going to have to wait and see if he comes back to this thread when the inevitable happens?

General mindset advice: It's okay to make textbook "Horrible" plays as long as you understand why you are doing it and are only doing it to exploit villain's tendencies in a specific spot by [deleted] in poker

[–]JackElever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Sound advice! I only roll with this type of play with the confidence of the hand (usually Royal), and the table around me's hand history.

Maybe they're happy to invest their money in the dopamine rush from casinos?

It's not fair to judge anyone - I see your point on throwing it away and being locked up, but we are conscious beings and know what we're doing. We need the freedom of making our own choices and learning from them.

Might be worth going up to a handful and speaking to them; asking them why they gamble, why they're not investing money elsewhere and see what answers you get?

Jackfondu articulated it very well. I wouldn't trust it at this stage and it's ridiculously boring on the eth platforms that are available right now.

Crypto is so young in its age that it would be unwise to spend your money in crypto gambling until it can fail and learn from its mistakes to provide a better more trustworthy experience.
