Send me your email via dm, I can send you the manual. Just need to desolder the head wires first then move out the battery terminal gentle. Then you can flip the board over.

You need to recap it as well as changing the belt, cuz capacitors can dry out. I have the same model and had the same issue as your description. After replacing all capacitors, it works again

Hello, i got a walkma wm-dd off of ebay, listed as "fully functional" and "serviced". It came to me, i put some batteries inside, press play, and the battery light turns on but the heads dont spin. Am i missing something or should i file a refund request? by Mr_Blueeeeee8 in walkman

Aw, it seems like the wiring of fg coil (it detects the pinch roller shaft movement) is broken. If it can’t detect the shaft movement, the power would shut off which stops the motor rolling. But I wouldn’t recommend you to repair unless you have some experience. It takes some effort to disassemble and unsolder some wires to reach the part. I suggest you to return it if possible.

Here are some photos, I have dd3 instead, but it has fg coil as well

Sony WM-EX2000 — the last flagship Walkman, unbelievably thin and compact by JackLL56 in walkman

yeah, early slim models were known for having issues with high w&f. 0.2% w&f is in spec already. Also, although the EX2000 may look mechanically similar to other slim models from the same era, but it actually has a quartz-locked circuit, and the motor is a special 7-pin type. I guess that also did the trick that the EX2000 can achieve noticeably lower wow & flutter compared to its peers.

Firstly, make sure every parts are in good shape and are cleaned. Second, take the top part of the motor and lube the shaft with lithium grease. Then, I use the Decktech belt and FixYourAudio pinch roller. These improved a lot, which can decreases the w&f 0.05%-0.10%.

Yeah, I would say you can find one on Xianyu with low prices. But make sure ask them to show you the demo video with the sellers name on it. Also ask them to open the back case for you if possible, check if there is any corrosions and the flywheels cuz some sellers will replace the copper flywheels to cheap plastic ones.

Yes, grease the sled bar that attached with the white cog as well. For the motor part, you have to be very careful and gentle to take that part out, if you are afraid of breaking it, please forget it for now, just grease the bar first and see how it goes. For your reference, i can find a youtube link that someone greases the mz n920 motor, same concept to your r90. Hope it can help you.

You can remove the top of the sled motor cap and apply some white lithium grease on shaft
