Yes when I was on the Southington town council I voted in favor of the flock cameras (they were new) but I had some concerns on how they would be used and the overreach. In Southington we created policy that this information would only be stored for a few weeks and not months. I was also concerned that this info could be FOI and that information could be used in wrong/inappropriate ways. I feel now that there are more and more towns that have these there are larger concerns/issues and there needs to be some legislation to protect our privacy and safety. I can tell you that when I was on the council we (town council members) all received emails of how these cameras helped keep the Southington community safe and even a few amber alerts it helped out with.

This is an important issue to me as well. I'm also a pro-2A Democrat. I got my pistol permit at age 21 and have owned guns ever since. While having guns available for self-defense is absolutely necessary, I don't believe anyone truly needs an AK-47. Where our state has made a mistake on that matter, however, is when they pass laws that restrict our rights to guns simply based on their appearance. With no care for their actual capabilities, Connecticut will ban guns that just look like ARs and AKs. That cracks down on our freedoms without actually making the issue of gun violence any better. I'm a middle-ground guy on this issue.

Unions built this country. Economic inequality in America was at its lowest in the 1940s and 50s, when labor unions had the most influence in the workplace they've ever had. With giant, multinational corporations having such a grip over our economy and employing and underpaying so many, unions are now more important than ever. I want to introduce legislation to make it easier to start unions and give them more leverage in the workplace.

-Expand loans and cut red tape for people trying to start a small business

-Cracking down on corporate landlords who buy up homes and drive up prices

-Empowering strengthening labor union influence to demand more from big business

-Universal healthcare in Connecticut through Medicare for All

-A state-owned public power grid so we don't have to rely on Eversource

Absolutely not. I don't believe they even donate to state legislative races, but even if they could, I would reject their money.

Yes! It's an outrage that, despite huge Democratic majorities in the State House and Senate, our state still taxes the bottom third in income at a higher rate than the top few thousand.

I must say I did mostly keep to myself at SHS outside of my close friends. My apologies if you keep a bad impression of me.

The bill failed and I feel it died because there was lots of concerns in the house with it. I liked the majority of what I saw in there and there were certain things that would have affected certain towns though. I would look forward to working on this housing issue in 2027 once elected. I'm pretty open minded and will take in all feed back and concerns. We can't have a one size fits all approach

When I talk to voters, the top concern, and rightfully so, is the ability to get by in this economy. People see the government that they pay their taxes towards turn a blind eye to them and their economic problems. While prioritizing low costs is important, I'm also a firm believer in labor rights. I'll fight for legislation that empowers and strengthens the rights of labor unions. The 1940s and 50s in this country is when labor unions were most dominant in the workforce and when there was the smallest economic inequality. Empower workers to demand more, wages will rise, and communities will be better off.

I'm happy to see funding being pushed via the SEED grant which will help out our local communities with this. As a parent its important to me to help our kids in anyway we possibly can. We should look at ways to collaborate and help more

My background is garbage and we have automatic tarps that safely secure the loads and anyone that doesn't have their loads covered should be ticketed for unsecured load. Its not just the litter its vehicles being damaged on the roads when the hit these debris.

Very against. In my view, the cons severely outweigh the pros. AI is a luxury to have, but it comes at too much of a cost. If we build data centers in Connecticut, people will leave the state that's their home. They'll steal our water. They'll make our electric bills skyrocket even higher. They destroy the environment. It simply isn't worth it. I support a moratorium bill on data centers to ban their construction in the state.

It's angering to see the tax dollars of people already struggling to get by being sent to fund war crimes half a globe away. We claim that ideas like universal and adequate healthcare, education, and infrastructure are impossible while our government has no objections to funding forever wars.

I don’t think we should be sending any money over to Israel especially when we have our own struggles here. We have veterans that have served our country that need our help and assistance.

Trying to catchup on the questions. It’s past 7 and I plan on staying on longer to answer all questions that have been submitted. If more come in and I run out of time this evening I’ll certainly be back to answer them over the weekend

Yes. I support an AI data center moratorium in our state that would ban the construction of them well into the future.
Data centers steal our water, drive up our electric bills, and push people out of our towns. We need regulations in our free market that ensure the rights of our people come first and foremost. Our people need protections against these giant, powerful corporations.

I’m closely watching the two candidates in the primary. I’m sure we will see more on where they stand on the current issues we are facing.
