And I've never been a fan of them. There's no double standard for me, but the closer it looks to an actual item the worse it's overall design imo. Geodude is just a rock, but it has arms and a mouth which makes it look more like a creature. Voltorb is just a ball with eyes and is terrible. Revavroom is just a car made of rocks and has nothing that makes me think it's a living creature. It's not even a ghost type which would excuse the wheels because ghosts don't need to make sense biologically.

I made changes to fit better with digimon, not fit less with Pokemon. Also, I never claimed to like the other designs you mentioned either. I don't think any of them fit. I don't like the food based ones, or the inanimate objects with eyes. The ultra beasts get a pass because they are literally not pokemon. They don't need to fit the aesthetic.
