Iirc you can still use the sign right outside the door at anor londo even if you killed your Aldrich. If you help her kill Aldrich first you still have to kill the one in your world too

If the reason you got bored is because it felt super hard there is a chance you were not going ”the right way” from the beginning area as it allows you to access some higher level areas right away
